EU DAOC won't get a Co-Op server. DAOC is now an old game at the end of its life.

Yes. Thats why Mythic are investing money in developing/releasing another retail add-on in the form of Catacombs....
I dont think its at the end of its life there is simply nothing comparible on the market, and the pipeline isnt looking too hot either.

Personally it all boils down to teh fact that GoA have done FA with the game, havent bothered to market the product it sells, they cant even be arsed to give thier existing customers the full package.

In reality if i could be bothered to do all the lvling/guilding/meeting again i would go to America.

IMO Catacomb will be the last add-on. Mythic is already working on another MMORPG (Imperator).

Yes but i could have /level 20 (or even lvl 30 if goa were genourous) on all my accounts. The way daoc has evolved with the /level system there is very few lower lvling grps etc, much less than when we all started playing anyhow.

Those 1st few levels make a lot of difference, most chars start to get some of their class specific skills around that lvl. Fighters - parry (10/17) plate (15 or 20) large sheilds (17) Rogue - PA (21) Ablative (30) etc Casters - Pbt (26) GTae (18)

And thats just the alb ones before even looking at the other realms. Prior to those lvls most classes arent really worth playing as there is about as much difference between other similar classes than the colour of grass.
why would u wanna start at 20 when pve is fun?

You seem to have little knowledge of DAoC or Mythic, your comments are based purely on your own opinion, not reality.

DAoC is getting on a bit, but will continue on for years to come. Want proof, just look at the other MMORPGs about like UO and AO, and see the fact that despite little in the way of development, they are still going. Mythic would be daft (in a business sense) to plow capital into expansions, then abandon a project that draws in roughly 250,000 accounts worldwide.

You also dont seem to know just what or how popular a Co-op server would be, and like many, have disregarded the fact that it wont be just for the English based populus (liek Camlann), which also attracts German and French players. The last time I was on Camlann, the only folk that I saw were in fact a fg of frogs. So filling the server would have two results, less ppl (hence less lag and camped spots) on the main servers, and giving the game for us Euro players someting new to play with.

FYI Mythic have been working on Imperator for 2 years, or so they say. The web site hasnt changed at all, and little has been mentioned about it in any gaming fair, net cafe or magazine since they announced the idea. Mythic DID however state that Imperator would be nothing like DAoC in any way, and would probably not be a true MMORPG.

Something only grows old and stale when you let it, voting for a new server doesnt have to affect you long term, but how about helping your fellow players for a change, and quit flaming about something you obviously havnt even given a thought to.:twak:

“Dark Age of Camelot” the European leader in massively multiplayer roleplaying games

“Dark Age of Camelot” is a second generation massively multiplayer roleplaying game (MMORPG) in full 3D.
With more than 350,000 units already sold in Europe and a dynamic community of 160,000 registered players, the game is enjoying a real success since its release in February 2002

Now considering america went live before eu and theres alot bigger player base in us than eu. Also they actually advertised the thing over there and adding in korean daoc i would guess the number of active subscribers to be more around the 400k mark :eek6:

Given that they've sold 350,000 in Europe, it's curious then why GOA do not promote the game in the UK at all.

Probably because the english servers are not just fot the UK playerbase, but for any non-french/german playerbase, ie scandinavians, spaniards ect. Covers a whole host of countries, and if GOA were to advertise in one, they'd be expected to advertise in all.

Sucks, I agree, but thats what happens when money-men control expenditure, I guess. :twak:

Yes we do. There is advertising and marketing in all the major European territories. I've pointed out on numerous occasions why it isn't marketed in the same way as standalone single-player big releases and the ways in which we promote our product.

Im sure most ppl know promoting is good osv... but daoc, you can get friends hooked if they get to play it abit, but it can be hard for you/themselves to start up daoc from scratch because .. pve.
But if ppl enjoy pve and would get most pve players who don't like rvr for various reasons why not give them that pve all day server...

not to piss on anyones bonfire or anything....but u really think GOA are gonna accept a petition that has a link at the top what says :

"DAOC Cheats Revealed
Huge DAOC cheats list, guides, working exploits."

just thought id point that out...maybe nothing...but then again if ur serious about this...maybe something

;)

p.s on another note maybe Mythic could read it and get an idea of the bugs they gotta fix :p

That's just your opinion. I know a lot of people who would be very interested in one, and who - like me - think RvR 'kinda sucks'.

co-op is what I really would like to play, but I wont spend money on an US account... I'm content with the normal servers but I would be even happier with a co-op server to play on, that would make me keep on playing daoc for some time forth...
