We've returned to DAOC on the US servers to test out Ywain. It's been quite a while since we last played, but DAOC was rock solid stable on Vista, and it's fine for me on Windows 7 with a dual core / Nvidia 8600.

My husband is still running Vista, and has a new mobo (Asus P5QL PRO), and graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 5750).

He can barely stay in game long enough to do a freexfer before the system locks - the screen turns a funny colour, then gets stripy lines, then the system reboots. Camelot is the only game that this happens in.

He's running Vista SP2, latest drivers for absolutely everything.

I remember ATI having issues with DAOC in the past, is that still the case? If so, we'd appreciate some thoughts from people who have got the game working on a similar setup!

Thanks.

It could be over heating, but you could try rolling back to an older driver set or the latest one.
