Just installed, and patched daoc classic, via the CD (from when game was released) and some files from a friends comp (im on 56k and 70 megs of patchs takes WAY to long) and i patched the last 10 mbs.

I enter password, select server and crash, i get this error msg:

GAME caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0187:bff7b992.

ahh cool, any idea where i can d/l ? and how unsafe is it to delete and replace, i guess you gotta do w/o restarting comp, was told it handles 99% of all memory or sumit, sounds liek it could cause some nasty problems....

download kernel32.dll and pop it on c:\ makes stuff so much easier later :)

http://www.webpromo-inc.com/dll-downloads/downloaddll.php

Can get it there ^^

Make a boot disk, and boot pc from that into dos. If your running an os that don't make a dos boot disk. Get a win98 boot disk image for http://www.bootdisk.com/ and use that.

Once in dos type...

copy c:\kernel32.dll c:\windows\system32\

Then press yes.

Reboot machine.

Might be worth making a backup of your origanel 32.dll first.

copy c:\windows\system32\kernel32.dll c:\windows\

Then do first copy. Then if it fails to boot, you can replace it with old 1.
