How do you make them? A friend sent me a screenshot thigy - but it only allows a small section of the screen, and lags me to death - I've 1 pc and a gf3 so none of that in/out card stuff whatever its called, but I wana make some avi's of my svagae in rvr .

buy a comp with tv-out and one with tv-in then record.. or connect the tv-out to a vcr and record that way

Regarding the use of Camtasia, Hypercam, CyberCam, Camstudio and others:

You need to turn off the Graphics Acceleration to get these to work properly, I tried all these progs to capture the video directly onscreen, they don't work for 3D apps and belive me CPU power was not an issue. (Dual 2.0Ghz Xeon 1Gb RDRAM, Quadro980 and SCSI Disks.) If you turn off the gfx acceleration they capture at 30fps+, but DAoC runs at about 0.3fps The only prog that works properly is FRAPS however it is only 800*600 due to encoder limits.

The best way is to use 2 PC's as everyone has already said. SVHS Out to SVHS In and capture using whatever.

Aye Fraps rocked, thought it was capped at 640*480 which is unbarable, but you say 800*600 so i might give it a go with that.

FRAPS is still 640x480 - afaik and I only downloaded it last week

i have a asus gf2 vid-out vid-in card
im using the laites drivers from asus to get my vid-in working correctly.

how can i use so i have vid-out going and be able to look at my monitor at the same time. i don't wanna play on the tv and i don't wanna use tvtool (screws my computer up)

sugestions?
