brought my laptop to work today to fight the boredom and play some daoc.
the only problem is that the network blocks the port required to play daoc. The local network admin cant change this cause the router is under a different management.

Is there a way to tell my daoc to use a different port?

Help appreciated :) :worthy:

I believe its been stated before that its not allowed to give advice on tunneling on these boards - shouldnt you be working at work anyway ;)

I have same situation @ my University flat... Before 1.68 it was very easy to get DAoC working - I just logged with cygwin/ssh on server outside firewall, used sockscap to run DAoC and could log on no prob at all.
Since 1.68 DAoC refuses running with SocksCap (or any other similar software). Currently I am thinking out about running cygwin/ssh to get outside firewall, install proxy server on my PC and then set my internet connection to my pc. This could help...
Only other possibility is tunnel. But where to get PC on other side running 24/7 :-/
