Dancing on Corpses

Whilst I don't believe in it... (I prefer a salute) last time I was in Emain I saw lots of people running around dancing on the corpses.

Now this woulda made sense to me had they been the ones that killed em... but no - it was little lvl 2X's like me that had bugger all to do with the demise of these people lying on the ground...

What do other people think about dancing on corpses?
rude? funny?

After a good fight I will bow or salute a good opponent (like when we took finster out whilst directing his troops at our TK the other week ;-) )

I got cried over 2 nights ago which was sweet ;-) I know my stumpy legs are cute and I can look like a gnome at times, but no need to get sentimental...

If someone jumps on me or dances on my corpse their name goes in the book and my hammer will taste their brains some day soon.

i got ganked (wanted to suicide, so went for an orange in the middle of orange\red albs), and this low-leveler (i remember thinking of going for them) came and spammed /laugh /dance etc, they will die, oooh yes

I have not had anyone dance on my body just camp near it. lol

But Yaruar is rite kids will be kids.. a hard fight deserves a salute or maybe a laugh or something but if U have had nothing to do with the death I really don't pay corpses much attention.. there is a name for people who mess with dead bodies...

Yes dancing and laughing is childish...though i have done it once to someone who had danced on me in a previous fight
But all those grey cons who come after you've been dead for some minutes or more and spam you with dance and laugh...
When i see mids dancing or jumping around dead bodies i tell them to cut it out and bow or salute the dead one.

@Aeiedel: were you suiciding yesterday at mfg2 in emain as well ? I think it was you who out of the blue popped up in the middle of what must've been yellow-red conn to you (you were yellow to me). That caused a bit of commotion, well, the outcome was kinda obvious so it must've been suicide, right ?

The very few times anyone has paid any attention to my bedraggled corpse I've been very flattered. I'm not important enough in RvR to have anybody really care whether I'm dead or alive, so I take corpse dancing and so on as a great compliment.

I actually got in a arguement at the weekend yelling at fellow hibs for dancing on corpses, but it is just so so immature to be so lame.

Why also does someone as stated previously who had no part in the fight dance on the bodies dunno what pleasure it can bring. As a stealther i love it when a lone passing dummie does it only to be taken down by one of my fellow rangers I just imagine the look on their faces as arrows interrupt their dancing and laughing

BTW lamers from all 3 realms do it it's not a realm thing just a lame thing

Many lower levels have habit of dancing on my body.... but i remember alb named Mousah doing it too... after i ganged him... hes pals came and killed me and ressed mousah... then he started dancing and crying etc. on meh body... very lame... you are marked man, or should i say boy

yuh i let my bro use my shade, and i think he left him up in emain or sommit and i wanted to go back to innis to craft

so i saw xanatea (orange) amongst some mids (mainly red), and i thought, aha! ticket home

im not normally that suicidal

seem mids and hibbies doing this.... but not many.

but almost EVERY alb i see that finds my body seems to just NEED to do it unless they're trying to keep up with the army

i'm sure there are plenty of them who dont like corpse dancers etc... but there are a hell of a lot more of them who do it in alb rather than the middies or hibbies.

but like i say. all realms do it. personally i dont, and i'll ask any hib i see to stop if i see them. but it's their /dance after all so it's up to them really.

i've danced and used people for a trampoline before but only to get them back for doing it to me.

that said. most middies tend to bow to you just for not runnign from the fight... heeh must have gotten used to us legging it from blue cons because i've seen lots of hibbies and albs running most of the time unless the invaders con yellow or below. never seem to take oranges for some reason, strange since invaders are easier than mobs... i'll fight orange invaders all the time personally. you just get used to them being easier to kill than mobs, dont know whether it's because of bad armour or something but they just are. and i find that if you fight them anyway then you get FAR less /dances and /laughs from them after if they managed to win.

I've had dancing/laughing done to my body few times, I've just taken their name and teleported back, killed them and /laugh & /dance on them.

With that said, it's been only 2 or 3 times I think and I tend to lie down on the ground a lot All of them been hibbies too.

I also have a tendency to do /laugh couple times without target when I see mids/hibs camp our pk and then pull guards... That's not rude IMHO, it's rather hilarious to see them all die when they could kill the guards.

Hey ya did it to me today as well, well you laughed once

The only thing that made me feel better was coming back with a grp of lvl 50's killing tons o hibs, inc you

But not as good as killing many lvl 50 albs, our fun was only stopped when people logged and Finster showed up with his army

Btw we took DC as well, although it's bound to be someone elses by now :sleeping:

IMO there's no problem with any emote unless it's like major spam.

I sometimes do that to check how much damage i can do. Don't use it to taunt

well i get killed sooner then i kill something in rvr since all of my chars are pretty low, i kinda luv alts but when i die i like to get bowed or saluted at makes me feel the others had some fun killing me =]
