Damn Music Scripts

Arrgh, these are so annoying! Nearly every server i go on, someone is playing the damn scripts (or customised scripts - their music).

Sometimes its people i know, so i dont wanna Mute em, but it is forcing me to mute them :/

its called HLSS and I agree its bloody annoying.
Its a shame there isnt voice pack that you can customise like in tribes, because although there were comedy ones the novelty wore off.
It also lags the server and hpbs.

Yes kinda annoying, but I have a soft spot for the Benny Hill tune, it's funny watching the Terrorist's storm off to that tune, annoying after twelve times though.

Save the wav tune as 8Khz, 16bit Mono voice_input wav file into your HL folder and add the bind key to your config, eg bind "key" "extoggle" .

and yes, it was funny the first 2 / 3 times, but once youve heard one, youve heard them all, so it gets irritating

Just mute them. I would love to kick nad wanr these epople, but at the end of the day when they can be easily silenced its not worth it.

Whats more annoying is when a group of 3-4 clan/real life 'mates' on one team start chatting in their mics about pulling birds etc during the game. So you end up muting pretty much the entire team.

Muting them is the only valid way of handling things though.

Voting them off is an option (if the team feel so strongly about it, this system is fair), but if an admin kicked/banned them from the server for talking about the kebab they had last night, I feel that is an abuse of admin powers, and I have seen it done :/ (although not on BW).

Its like /ignore on IRC, ironically the most ignored command available to handle pests and spammers.

I have certainly tried on the 56k server (voting off lpbs), but not on others.

No vote percent is set so that the person voting would have to vote for themselves as well as everyone else.

Playing music lags the server, pisses ppl off and therefore is lame and general lameness is a kick/ban offence.................
