I've just caught a snippet of television, only a second mind you so I didn't get the whole story...but did Dale Winton recently marry Nell McAndrew? My brain is rejecting this information and it's starting to hurt.

As a naturally camp, straight man I've nothing against men appearing to be gay when not...however, surely Dale is? I always assumed he was openly so? Stop being such a retard and come out man! And leave the women for those of us that appreciate them!

What next? Julian Clary to wed Holly Vallance?

But how do you mean? Like I said I didn't exactly get the whole picture from that snippet...so a set up as far as, I dunno, it was a comedy skit or something? Or a set up in terms of it was an actual wedding, legally binding, that we're assuming to be a farce?

/me harks back to Troy McClure marrying Patty (so Selma?) in the Simpsons.

Well Nel was on I'm a celebrity get me out of here and Dale winton is a failed celeb as well.

Easy press i suppose, "Look you all think im gay yet i have married a model"

"Yeah i married a gay man"

Simple easy news coverage.

I think it was done by the two of them and the BBC to provoke this sort of reaction, although having watched it myself I'm unsure but it's certainly not impossible is it? Just because a bloke is camp it doesn't make him gay, there are plenty of camp men who are married with kids etc. Personally I believed all of it until the very end when a voiceover done by Dale said something along the lines of "This was my dream wedding... or is it?" which threw me a bit.

I don't think it's down to media coverage, if it was a setup it was an elaborate one and I imagine they set out to get this sort of reaction.

Although I still can't believe Graeme Souness is friends with Dale Winton.

The show was filmed entirely like a documentary on their marriage, the whole thing was pretty elaborate. They spoke to various other celebs who are supposedly friends with them, as well as Tara Palmer-Tompkinson who was supposedly in love with Dale.

Some of it makes no sense, some of it is perfectly accountable for. It was made to provoke this sort of reaction, and they've done it well tbh.

And anyway it doesn't matter if he is or isn't but the media coverage makes him out as so and so it's very reasonable to assume he is playing on this.

The show informs you that Dale is 'bisexual' insofar as he's had relationships with both men and women. It just so happened the one he wanted to marry was a female.

It's just as reasonable and possible that it wasn't an elaborate setup, and they've actually married one another and are madly in love and decided to play on Dale's campness and confuse everyone.

Why is TPT a star anyway? She appears in Heat, she was on IACGMOOH, but when and why did she actually become a celebrity?

What is her talent? She doesn't sing, dance, write, perform, act, compere, host...what does she...how did she get the status of celebrity? Being rich and spending more on shoes in one trip than 100 kids combined in a trainer manufacturer's sweat shop make in a century is neither a reason to praise her nor for her to become a celeb.

Or did I miss an earlier part of her career when she became famous for doing something? Anything?

Actually she is a classically trained pianist, but she is famous for being an 'it' girl. Basically her family is rich, she goes to all the big parties, and thats it.

Dale Winton is gay, he said as much on the radio.
