I seem to get hit harder by mercs than Zerkers

Have beaten a few zerkers in duels.. unbuffed, and fully buffed.

Against a merc, I stand no chance whatsoever though.
Getting hit for 200-400 dmg every 2-3 secs :/
Can't see how that makes mercs gimped at all.

Somthing to remember here is wheter u are vuln or resistant to the dmg the opponent is dealing out and wich dmg u do, makes a really big diff imo.
Fighting someone with resistant to your dmg and he pounds you with vulnerble dmg to your armor type,that is really gonna hurt.

And bout those huges hits on 1k are on casters if im not mistaken
and with prolly maxcrit,they aint any-time-hits to all classes.

Not sure what good the respec is gonna do us when and if they lower dmg output with those high numbers ppl adress to.
Hopefulle not gonna be as much but time will tell ;o

Yes, I agree midgard RAs are a bit pants. SoS is only once every 30 mins and it isn't group purge. BoF is an 'I win' button yes, but again once every 30 mins. But considering these are RAs I don't think that really matters. The fact of the matter is you have insta CC we don't.

This argument has been thrown around so many times it really is quite stale. I think you'll find I didn't bring RAs into it and was merely pointing out that the extra range is to give a chance to counter insta CC. If you are going to complain about anything make it Group Purge.

Ras dont come as standard ? When you make a zerk, left axe isnt specced till 50 also, u knew that ? ??

Why nerf midgard? Berserkers were the only real cool thing about the realm.. Nerf them and what do we have left.. not that much that can do that great in rvr. feck i rather play a hero or champ over warrior thane or skald any day.

Midgard needs some love in the form of unique RA's. People been whining that albs are underpowered for so long but imo the RA's make up for it...

Give skalds the same grp heal RA as paladins for a start instead of a bollox grp dmg add.

It's a sad time for middies and damn me if this game does not love to throw all ur hard work in the bin.. soz for the whine but soloing plenty of nights with no bot to lvl my sb (who was going 5 spec with LA 39) and finally about to reach the finish line i learn i get 30% dmg decrease.

What was the reason infils get more spec points over other assasins? maybe now sb's got nerfed they can bring that into line but i am sure they wont. oh and givf NS and SB Vanish RA while u at it.

Ahh, feel much better after my little rant :)

I think the reason why infi's got 2.5 instead of 2.2 was because SB's could weild 2H weapons for a mighty PA.

At least, I think that was the reasoning for it. Not sure why NSs don't get 2.5 though...

Because they're part of that herbivore realm called Hibernia. That is traumtising enough to warrant 2.5 ;)

don't take this as the ultimate truth (or whatever)

but in the patch Mythic raised the Assassins specc points, they talked about implementing a disguise skill (never made it into the game though).

for SBs and NSs it would have been some kind of spell, therefor they had a power pool.

Infils would have had to specc in a new skill tree (Disguise), therefor more specc points.


the idea of Disguise got dropped again, the powerpool from SBs got removed.


but in the end, no one knows what Mythic's Devs think when they change something (or if at all)

about the paladin heal r.a going to skalds..... can skalds rezz people? or actually run a effective heal chant????? no they can't, so why should they get a healing r.a?

Long ago when all assassins had equal spec points, mythic decided that infs where lagging behind since, they had no ability unique to them,

Sb's had Two handed weapons for massive hitting p.a's,
Ns's had a damage shout
Infs had..... well nothing

so they changed it

infs got 2.5 spec points, and have a crossbow for distant attacks
Ns's had damage shout, and damage spell for distant attacks
sb's had more hp, a two handed weapons and could use throwing daggers for distant attacks

think thats how it worked.
