Alot of these guys seem to change genre's after a while. If you remember Sub Sub "Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use)" from back in the day there now indie band The Doves being a more extream example.

Probably can only explore a certain direction for so long before you run out of creative idea's...

Not realy Drum and Base as such but the FSUK and FSUK2 (Future Sound of the United Kingdom) Mix albums by the Freestylers are awsome breakbeat/electro/D&B mash ups. Use lots of samples and hooks from old 60's,70's funk and soul songs.

Wont be in the shops any more (about 4-5 years old) but you should be able to pick them up from Amazon or Ebay.
