Those specs are pretty low, I expected a higher requirement. The GTX 780 is almost 7 years old at this point. I guess it will help them sell more games if the specs are lower.

I did too. I fully expect those specs to bebased off 1080p only. I think 1440p and above will be significally higher.

It's low because they have to cater for the console market so you have to be able to run the fucker on a Pentium 75.

Fucking consoles

This game might be the only game which'll make me hook my PC up to my TV and use a wireless pad. The idea of playing this at my desk is saddening. It took me 6 months to finish RDR2 as I only played it on weekends so I feel this might be the same.

I've said it before - I'm rapidly losing the will to live with open world games. Outer Worlds is brain achingly dull, almost as bad as fallout.

We finished Witcher 3, though it felt like a little waste of life, so I've avoided RDR.

Cyberpunk then. Is it just going to be identikit style? Just another open world game with the same, tired, mechanics (albeit a cool as f00k vibe).

I'm wondering if the buzz is all keanu, but the reality is pretty fallout new vegas...

Which is why I return again and again to games like Valorant and CS GO.

Things don't always go according to plan as you meet different opponents and skill levels ie real people.

Watchdogs legion is dreadfully boring, it's like gameplay has gone backward for ever fancy worlds to look at, which is fine if you like roaming about without any particular objective, GTA, far cry etc hide it behind fetch and carry missions and the odd story mission etc but ultimately the worlds are pretty empty and aimless. Which is a shame.

I'm with you, the thought of trudging through more Bethesda landscapes has totally turned me off Fallout and Elder Scroll games. I suffered through the Witcher 3 because the story was great, but F Me that was a long playthrough. I own both DLC, but I've yet to play it. I've avoided RDR2 for same reason. I'm hoping Cyberpunk will make it a better experience than the other games.

I'm like the rest of you guys. I seem to have no patience with games like Outer Worlds, Watch Dogs and RDR2. I eam, I load it up, walk around a bit and it bores me stupid. Don't know why I keep buying them.

I fully expect Cyberpunk 2077 to be the same. It may impress in the same way as RDR2 for instance but ultimately I'll find it dull as dishwater and go back to Valorant.

Heck, I even gave up on completing Doom recently because it was sending me to sleep.

Similar to the rest of you grump old codgers who have seen it all before I bounce off most Open World games these days. AC Odyssey was half decent but too damn bloody long and repetitive. However I thought Horizon Zero Dawn (on PC) was excellent and even did the NG+ which was a first.

AC odyssey was too much sea travel to get to places.

maybe is because i like routine and stuff but i enjoyed most of the games mentioned in here. outer worlds wasnt an open world sand box game btw. The devs said it wasnt open world when making it.
hzd was great :)

in watchdogs i like going around and solving the problem of getting object / places that have been setup. I guess you dont have the time to play as much.
i find fps games ultimately shallow and boring. Shot one person in the face or defuse one bomb and you done them all.

I couldn't get into it, I had a oh god not again moment about 5 hours in. I might try it again at some point but if I get sent off to collect a random stupid thing from the other side of the map, to deliver it to the other side of the map again for no actual reason then I might just cry.

Generally loved ACO, but Christ the seafaring stuff was dull.

Anyone bought into the hype? It's finally out and it sounds... very good but still a bit buggy. After all the delays you'd have thought they would have ironed them out.

I might give it a couple of weeks and then see what state it's in.

Witcher 3 was kind of janky on release too but compare it to the eventual GOTY edition and it was a very different experience.

Sounds very buggy, rushed release for Xmas console sales by the looks of it. I'll wait.

Awesome game so far, really enjoying it. It is quite buggy though, not sure if its the same for PC and Xbox but the PS5 version crashes now and again, they'll fix it eventually but it is quite annoying none the less.

Fucked it and bought it on Steam, a sprightly 60gig

Make sure you have the very latest drivers that came out yesterday if you have an Nvidia card as they make a massive difference. I have everything on ultra with max RTX and it is a very very pretty game and the FPS seems fine too. I turned off film grain & motion blur as I hated those effects.

It is very pretty. Had to turn off Steam and Nvidia overlays, and update to latest drivers, to get it to work. Played flawlessly since then. Done the first 2 missions, combat is pure carnage on hard at lower levels.
