CV enhancing tips?

Dunno, I have a panel interview next week shitting it xD
Only thing I do, which I would suggest you do..is custom build your CV to every job. Look at the skills they want then push those skills in your CV and show how your skills are relevent to what they are looking for.
However you are 16? and doing a levels this year? and job you are looking to get will be shit and the CV wont really matter as long as they can see you're hardworking. (not an insult btw, just doubt you'll be looking for an uber job with school inc
)

Still doing my GCSEs this year unfortunately - due to take the majority of them in June. (I have some to put on my CV but the rest of that area is empty... =/
Only reason I thought the CV might affect it is because even for the most simplest jobs that I go for - i never seem to even get an interview. It's annoying when I know I can do the job as well as any old joe yet they don't pick me. I don't personally know you but I know some of my friends get jobs by chance. It's all about company demand. For instance, one of my friends got turned down for a job at a supermarket but 2 weeks later they offered him an interview and he got the job (just before they offered him some people left).

You can, use your mocks or even give some estimated grades, maybe put a teachers signature on it to see that you didnt just put A - A - A etc dunno.
Try to select a simple, readable layout, dont cram it with too much shit because in a way, someone has to sit there and probably read 100 CV's, so you wanna get to the facts across asap.

This is what I always put on my CV:
- what course you graduated in
- languages (they are important in Belgium) speak, read, write
- overview of related work experience
- specialites and skills that relate to the funtcion you are applying for
- obtained certificates
- references to where you have work before
Now beeing that you are young and don't have any work experience, just state your current dimplomas and future interest.
But I will warn you that it isn't ez at all to finding a job when you have no work experience even with obtained cerfticates etc.
Like stated above it all depends on the current need of employees at the company you are applying for.

good presentation on a cv is vital... i work close to the employment management and we often discuss how bad cvs are. They just throw the bad ones away without looking at them if they look crap.

doesnt necessary mean illistrations
... just the layout of the text... get a good order.. you know, personal details at the top.. followed by education , qualifications etc. Make it look very presentable - underline headings, tab in from the margin so it looks straight. All this sort of stuff makes them just look at your CV, before they throw it away without reading your name.

think about it. does a buisness taking on 16 yr olds want someone who will get bored (i.e. a person who is intelligent) or a person who will do what ever the fuck they say without question etc (sorry, im not stupid enough to think of an example :/).
such a business doesnt care much about their staff but they also dont want to go through the trouble of reading CVs and hiring staff all the time.

So for example if you learnt something new on your current job and you are applying for another job, mention that you had exposure on your new skill in your previouse job.

There's *loads* of CV writing tips, CV templates, etc around online if u google em.
Shouldn't be too hard to find some examples of CVs in whatever area u work in, and with a similar lvl of experience and just rip the format and take what u like.
It's well worth the effort tailoring CV for specific jobs. Whenever I just cold spammed CVs to jobs I rarely ever got a reply. Keep the CV to 2 sides and use the intro letter to expand on stuff you think is important.
