cats are ace.

ours is just working out how to catch birds, you can see her stalking around the garden.

She's caught a couple now and appears at the window with them in her jaws and looks really downtrodden when i wont let her in.

I should be thankful, I know someone with a massive tomcat who caught and eviscerated a hare one night then dragged the corpse in through the cat flap and left a trail of blood and gore all over the kitchen floor LOL. imagine waking up to that carnage.

1. Cats get fed for free
2. Prison population reduced
3. Prison costs reduced
4. Deterrent factor

It's a bit sad because they were only a few months old, and their mother probably won't live a full life as she has a bent spine. But what do you expect the lions to do, circle of life.

r.e. the lion ting the cuddly; people go to zoos because they want to see wild animals...woe betide them if that animal actually acts how it would in the wild though, people don't want to see that, it shatters all the illusions they create about them. Down here we have Monkey world and last time I was there the keeper was telling me how one of the rabbits escaped from the petting zoo and got in with the chimps...

guts everywhere and then a pidgeon got caught by an orangutang which proceeded to rip it apart slowly in front of all the families who'd just been saying aboout how 'cute and gentle and humanlike' the animal was.
