no, proof. no chance.

US did kill the drag a while back, but as said before that was on a patch that we skiped over (1.57 i belive) where it was nerfed for 1 patch and then bugged again in 1.58. we never got the nerfed version only the bugged to hell version. so yes, i belive a few US servers got their drag down during this patc, but since then nadda...zilch...zip...even with 1.60 and the drag nerf they still haven't got it down, whereas EU servers have killed it at will, so a little pride (superiority complex accoring 2 u) is justified imo

Humm it was killed on Merlin 3 times alone before 1.57 or whatever, and Merlin is not exactly known for its pve.

A little pride is justified, just stfu with the "we own US" crap. Cause it is, crap.

Avalon was the first server to ever kill the hibernian dragon. NO discussion there, and they did it way before 1.60, i think even before we got the SI-patch ( which would be 1.52 then iirc)

i mean i guess usa peeps could have done it - and then kept quiet - but tbh if they had im sure it would have been on the Vn boards.


anyways none of this matters - we all play the same game - spread the lub mofos :)

Humm Merlin was my main server, is where I got the info.

Merbos, that was written by Sanya, Sanya knows next to nothing about daoc. I'd be a millionaire if I had a few quid for every incorrect answer in the Grab Bag.

I know Sanya has next to none knowledge of DAOC, BUT its still possible that its true?

And im pretty sure eu was first to kill the dragon on any live server, atleast i remember all the whines on the us boards when it happened, same thing that is happening now, but with the galla final encounter.

Very much the same thing, they say we have it easier, are not bugged etc etc, most of them can not admit that eu servers are "better" or how they see it.

Do you think anyone takes your word over Sanya's though? 'next to nothing', you say? Maybe that is true, but at least Sanya got it right who killed the dragon first :). Sanya knows next to nothing, but knows who killed the dragon, so what do you know ;)?

I have played american and EU at the same times for months earlier, and the hells no if americans is any less dicky, wicky or wussy then we are. Just as much whiners, prankers and crankers and whatever else you can spit out there as here ^_^

I would actually claim we are a lot nicer then them, but its a matter of taste i guess. But we worse then them dont fit my taste at all =)

Well, has it ever occurred to you guys that the population inbalance most likely is the cause of this? I think only one server has a large proportion of hibs, and that is merlin I think?
And it comes as no surprise that the most overpopulated server kills the hib dragon first, aka an EU server?

ST, the Germans did kill the Hib dragon first. If you take the time to search the VNBoard forums, there's a number of posts on there regarding it.

Having said that, it's not a case of EU > US. If you check any of the regular Hib US forums, you'll see they still struggle to kill the dragon, most times not managing to do so and when they do succeed, it's with 250+ people.

A couple of days back we did it with less than 150.

We're not saying we're better. Just wondering why the Yanks are struggling so much with it.

For someone who doesn't want to make this about EU vs US, you sure do jump to the yanks defence very quickly...

however, if the people on merlin had actually killed it, then why have there not been any posts about it? (i check the vn boards quite regularly and i dont think it would have been just a little thread which died away fast. quite the opposite infact

Yep I think it was sometime in November 2002 they popped him first time on Avalon, and I used to visit VN boards quite regulary when I played and there was deffo no proof of that US had killed him before.

Why did you switch from the US servers anyway? Thought you'd be more 'uber' on the fresh Euro ones and then the opposite occurred?

Humm it was mainly the time difference actually. Why would I be more uber by moving server? My level of uberness is a constant wherever I go.
