It's a new(ish) FPS game available as freeware. I doubt it will rank highly enough in the popularity stakes for BW to consider it among their hall'o'fame, but it's definitely worth a check, if you can get a game set up on one of the dedicated servers.

Gamewise it's kinda similar to Doom/Quake but the engine is made from scratch and works in a very different way to normal 3d engines. It also allows in-game realtime editing of levels, as well as co-op editing, should you want to knock up a custom battleground to fight in.

The new version also has singleplayer built in, apparently, but I havent tried it yet and not alot of information is given. There's a forum on that site for questions/comments too.

Tdc;

The main release archive includes clients for win32 / linux / linuxppc, and servers for win32 / linux / linuxppc / freebsd / solaris.

Hmmmn, interesting. Very Quake(1) like in feel. Haven't tried any of the editing options, but it certainly runs fast (450fps here!).

Single player DM is a blast, with what looks like office clerks who've somehow wandered into an FPS.

hmmm, certainly good for the money (;)) but doesn't play very smoothly - weapon reloads feel "wrong".

That's something that can be fixed up though. The level editing seems.. well.. odd.
