Is a Joke, I have better things to do than queue of god knows how long just so I can CTD after 5-10 mins of play.

Today is the worst it has ever been, as this is the first time I have played since the last patch was released (i had to download the patch today) I assume they have changed something.

Honestly I think it's people's computers messing up, I never have any crash issues, neither do I have lag issues... so either your run to high graphic of what your computer can run, or your computer generaly ain't good enough.

well i have no issues with any other games I play, so I highly doubt it is my computer messing up.

As for my computer not being good enough, it is more than enough for Warhammer, it Runs most games I own on High (Bioshock, age of conan, world in conflict to name 3).

I only had ctd's on my Vista laptop - I think it just ran out of RAM
On my XP desktop I never had any ctd's, just lag in scenarios

Have had some stability problems this weekend.
A few "CTDs" where the game vanish, a couple of "Run time Errors" and once where I just got booted to the character selection screen.
And seeing that the US apparently have had some hot-fixes for stability and GOA is totally quiet I can only wonder when - if ever - we'll get similar.

I'm really starting to wonder to just give up on this game because it is getting harder to actually justify paying money to a company as GOA.

Im on Vista (64bit) and have had no CTD's. I have 4gig of ram which is probably a minimum for a Vista gaming machine.

Its probably a question of WAR not liking certain hardware or hardware combinations, and also of the severe memory leaks that are in the game - memory usage will creep up over 2gig, and this coupled with Vistas own huge memory useage will crash any system that has less than 4gig (i.e. all 32bit Vista systems since they can only use 3.2gig).

Am on Vista x64, 4 GB RAM, GeForce 8800 GTS w. 768 RAM, E6600 and all those things - and I experience crashes of various types.

There are memory leaks in the game etc, but I've not been able to deduct any pattern for the crashes yet.

I suggest they don't make me pay until they have worked the bugs out then, because I didnt buy the game just so I can experiance game breaking bugs, and I sure as hell am not going to pay monthly for a game than I can play for such short periods of time.

I appreciate not everyone is having them, but is must be a big issue for them to even acknowledge the problem has existed for some time.

it must be vista related, my brother has an Identical setup (by Identical I mean exact same hardware), he has no CTD as far as I know, and the only difference between me and him is im on Vista 64 and he is on XP.

Now the damn server has gone down...

Would make sence it being a Vista problem, personally i run XP, and mostpeople i hear of having problems are running a better GFX than i am - Running 4gb RAm with only a 8600GT 512MB card.

well techincally I am because the product price included 30 days of playtime and those 30 days are hard to use when you cant stay on the server.

have had the same problems you are having, i am on xp - machine spec is enough to handle war four times over. pain in the ass. thankfully not happening to me quite as regularly as you.

it never used to be this regular for me (maybe a 2 or 4 times a night), but since I patched today its been a nightmare....

Still at least im not CTD anymore, now that the server has been down for about 30-40 mins now.

I have vista, a high end pc with 4gb ram and i ctd on average every few hours, last 2 where very annoying middle of a keep raid i ctd lost my warband couldnt get an invite back,last stage of the pq crashed half way through tankin boss managed to log on boss dead i wasnt even recognised in loot roll. Also ctd when takin flights and at end of using the bookof binding. i report it when it happens but yet to recieve a reason or if theres gona be a fix.Also have a vist laptop and although i dont play the game as much on it it hasnt ctd on me on that yet. Tbh im baffled, and pissed but i do like the game and prey they iron this problem out.Just make sure u report it everytime u ctd then if nothing else it will help them realise what a serious problem they have with some users, and hopefully may help them put there finger on the problem.

the newest set are making a few guildies crash shit loads, try going back a version or 2

im running vista 64 and i only crash to desktop maybe once a gaming session i suspect there is a memory leak within the game that only happens when you do somthing.

Normally i ctd when im jumping and running everywhere still dont know why it does it.

But if your only gett 5 mins of play and 10 mins of waiting time why not play on a different server which doesnt have queues.

I am using the most recent Nvidia drivers and i have only had one or two CTD since release.

I had my 5th ever CTD with WAR yesterday morning (since open beta), and I haven't experienced lag beyond a brief server hiccup. First thing I did before I even started playing was get the latest drivers for my ATI and defag my HDD.

Not saying that's why my game runs dandy, but I don't like leaving too much to chance.

I'm running pretty much same as above, Vista 64, 4GB RAM, only difference is mine is 8800GT and running AMD d/c 2800(x2).

I run in windowed mode and have not had one single CTD since getting the game, my GF runs exactly same computer and has had only 2 CTDs since we both got the game.

While this probably doesn't help much, it could be related to peoples computers, but more along the lines of something to do with the game being incompatible with certain drivers/hardware?

It can't really be a user fault if so many people are experiencing it.

My friend and I have the same computers apart from he has a slightly faster cpu. Whilst ive had one or two CTD's he's had loads.. im more inclind to think its to do with their coding rather than a end-user issue.

I had CTD's, on my computer which is rather new..

But I fixed that with just reinstalling the game (deleting the beta client and installing from disc's), and then I downloaded new graphic AND sound drivers, and woops, no more CTD's.

I currently use the "old" nvidia drivers 177, not the brand new one, 178 and it still works, so if you guys are still getting ctd's, its probably your own fault, either hardware or software wise.

When I crash in Altdorf - my memory-o-meter is just coming back down from 100% - i.e 3.2mb.

Not true. My PC is well above spec for the game. If I play a particular character in given tiers/areas I am certain to constantly crash making the game unplayable. However if I play a different character on same serve on a different tier/area I can walk away from the game for 20 minutes and it is still running away quite happiy.
My conclusion is that I get the crashes most in higher populated area - I do get lag but that I can cope with. Its the ctd every few minutes (some times seconds) when in the high population areas that is kiling the game.

Well everyone has always told me that my 8Gb of ram is overkill and a waste, well i get computer stuff at trade prices so im not bothered

and in games like AoC and the only just over a week old WAR, which have memory leaks etc, it come in dam handy

running vista 64 ultimate and have only had ctd a few times, mostly in Altdorf and i have been in game around about 10-12 hrs at the time

These CTD problems are so weird. People like me who have been lucky can't relate tothese problems since I haven't had a single CTD since I started playing in the preorder headstart.
