cs/tfc not work - not WON

HI,

can u help, when i select a server in gamespy it fires up ok. Then most times i get past WON (cos i do have an _legal_ copy) then server connects and then...... nothing happens.

well thats not actually true, most times tfc worx, but in cs it just stays there with the console. It doesnt say precaching or anything, and the compueter stops reading the harddrive. I can exit, and the computer works fine. if i press "`", it exits to the desktop.

I have reinstalled the update, (hl(tfc) and cs). but it doesnt work.

that used to happen to me, i'm not 100% sure, but i reckon it had something to do with me taking 32 megs of ram out, leaving me with 64megs in win2k :/
The only way around it i could see was to type 'retry' at the console, and eventually it would get through, or change to win98 (if i was in win2k).
