CS Single player maps

OK. I read a thread relatively about this. I have HL Generation and I have d/loaded CS v1.0. I can play CS online fine but u kno the info next to the buttons in the main menu? I have info saying "learn how to play CS" but no button. If I try and click where the button would be it says it cannot find map.... (not ... just some name). On my HL Genenration CD I just installed HL. Is CS on that disk and should I install it. Plz help, cheers.

The HL generations pack comes with 3 disks.
1) HL the games, single player, multiplayer - You can dowload and install counter strike 1.0 if u install this.
2) HLCS, a retail version of counter strike, missing maps and gun names. You can install this independently of HL. It has a one player training mission. It is only available if u install of this disk.
3) HL opposing forces add on.

it sounds like u have installed HL, HLCS and teh d/l CS 1.0. you need to uninstall them all.
If u really want to play the training level, just install the HLCS disc and nothing else. Once u have played the mission u will realise there was no point and, will want to play some CS. This is when u will realise that maps are missing, so what u will do is uninstall HLCS, reinstall HL then install the downloadable CS.

Well then it sounds as if the mission is pointless and CS and HL is working fine so Im not gonna do nething. Thanx m8. I can stick with plain old CS v1.0. (There r no missing maps) So thanx m8
