The Counter-Strike web site is closed out of respect for those who lost their lives in the senseless acts of terrorism on Tuesday. Our hearts go out to those dealing with the loss of friends and family members. Regular site operations will continue later this week.

All due respect to all the people who were involved in that terrible, terrible tradegy but, what good does closing down a website do to it?

the cs-team are not making cs1.3 its being done completely inhouse by valve.

All the cs-team have done is select new maps, maybe say what they want.

Valve have been doing it so they can make it compatible with hl1108 and fix bhopping.

what good does closing the site down do? think about it, CS involves terrorists doesnt it? death, destruction etc... one of the points that may be the reason id say

and does it matter if they closed it or not? are you saying this 1.3 update is more important than all the lives lost in this tragedy?

Of course Dan isn't saying that CS is more important, he's just pointing out that closing the website does not benefit them in any way.

closing the website doesnt benifit anyone, but niether does a 1 minute silence,

its a way of showing that some people actually do care.

cant belive people are actually complaining that closing the site benefits no one, ffs, its there way of showing a bit respect.

Yup have to agree with jobbie on this one.

What no-one knows is that the folk behind CSNET might have some connection to victims of the tragedy.

Even if not, its a mark of respect to those innocents who have lost their lives to a senseless act of terrorism

not to sound dis-respectful, but a NYC mod with twin towers would be cool. That way, the twin towers live on!

Also, plans have also been made on the re-construction of a better and improved building! But only 1 of the twin towers was insured!!!
