CS is nearing its sell by date

im a original CS player from Beta 1. but now i have found counter-strike has lost its charm, and i have moved onto other things. the reason for this

the game became too popular.

because of this you are bound to attract the gamers who will not treat the game properly resulting in cheating, Tking and other annyoning actions that really put you off.

CS should have had introduced extreemly tough measures to counteract this, im sure this woul annoy people but only the ones it would matter too eg the cheaters, and g*y faggot out there.

so role on another original mod..

preferably not on the half-life engine

But you know i played cs for the first time in months yesterday. The game wasn't too bad. Barr the idiots on the server changing there names to all sorts of weird pathectic childish rubish, it wasn't all that bad. I never felt like i was being cheated in anyway by anyone, which was a good thing from what i read about cs these days in the forums. I only stuck around for a few maps, but by the third map i had found my feet again (well mp5) and was coining it in like the old days. To my suprise i never got called a cheater once, this despite the fact i was 17-0 after 3 rounds. Not that ill start playing CS in any serious way again, because from past experience, it can be as lame as online gaming gets, guess it depends what mood im in, if i happy i let it fly over my head, if not then it pisses me off, so thats why i don't bother subjecting myself to cs in any serious way anymore.

I think a redevelopment of CS on another engine would be great

They would prolly have to chuck in a load of goodies (sideways peeking around corners? more weapons? different numbers of teams?) to keep us interested though

far too many people cheating, but, no to diss barrysworld. i went over to jolt yesterday, and WOW! good games, good attitude and hardly anyone p1ssed about.
Not to say that ppl on barrysworld mess about all the time, but it seems that there are loads of little kiddies on most of the time, acting like idiots with the new voice comm

No matter what game you play, there will always be someone cheating, no matter what you do in life, someone will work their a$$ off to get somewhere in life, whilst others just take the easy route. People work whilst others stay at home and claim lots of benefits for sitting on their ass while we hardly make any money.

Cheating is always going to be with us, no matter what we do. Just think of it this way: "Yes, that person is cheating, they cant cheat in life(you cant cheat death, or fraud or prison etc...) but i have the satisfaction of knowing i can play a game without the need of any help"
Yes, a little dumb quote i know, but it is something that has to be said.
People who dont cheat, will always be better than those who do, people who do are probably people who just think it is smart, but until someone starts to cheat on them, they will get mad.

Having a larger community makes it a lot harder to keep morons at bay because it becomes more and more difficult to try and keep tabs on who is who. This is especially true with CS as a lot of players drift from server to server because they just play on the lowest ping.
