Granted, it's a leech on hardware, but does anyone else suffer massive lag and stuttering that make the game pretty much unplayable at times (even with graphics down)?

Spec is Vista 32 bit, 3.00 GHz core 2 duo, 2 GB ram, Radeon 4850.

Running everything on high at 1280*1024 no AF or AA.

The problem is your ram, 2GB with Vista really means ~1.2GB(if that) for the game, the stuttering should go away - or at the very least, get reduced alot with another 2GB.

I'm running it myself with an AMD Athlon X2 5000+ @ 3GHz, HD4850 & 4GB Ram using 1440x900 and I have no problems whatsoever aslong as I stay away from AA.

Yup, it's the ram. When I build my new pc I was stuck with my old 2gb for a while because the corsair stuff was out of stock everywhere. I noticed a lot of disk swapping while playing the game.
When installed my 4gb the disk swapping stopped and the gamed played very nicely on 1680*1050
If you add more you'll have to switch to Vista 64 bit though...
(and your pc will still cry for mercy when you reach the end bit of the game :D )
