There are parts of the UK where you cant use anything faster than a 56k modem.

Used the same before I moved to Dubai. Had loads of problems with it. Loss of service, bad lag and lost packets. Still better then most of the UK DSL providers. NTL suck as do most of the other cable companies.

Good luck with it, hope its improved with age.

I'm with Pipex, i reckon they're pretty damn good, rarely lose connection (unless my pc runs low on resources), only one day where i couldnt connect (lasted about 2 hours). Pretty good prices on DSL too. Been with them a year now and wont be changing for a long time.
