i must admit that this does make me laugh

i'm now a very happy bunny, because now i can't be bitched at for playing a fotm class (even though i made it on the release date of SI, so i had zero idea how they will play) which is getting nerfed :)

still, cry more, cause its gonna do diddle shit.

Well they're gonna nerf chanters soon so you're kidding yourself if you think BDs wont be the next target for the whine masses... beleive me, if the chanter nerfs make it through ok you'll be nerfed so hard and fast shortly after you wont know what hit you.

Mythic have been known to do U-turns in the past. More people complain about BDs than chanters, so it's only a matter of time before the nerf bat strikes.

I heard that a BD took out Alphaville, Rambo, Constanze, Vanion and a couple of others today. If this is true, you cannot tell me that any BD taking out such a formidable squad is "working as intended".

BD nerf won't happen, if anything the savage nerf will happen first, cause of the constant whining of the US over em.

US don't whine about BDs unless they are on PvP servers, so by ur theory of "the more that whines the faster the change" is wrong in this case cause there are few BD whiners in the VN boards, and only about 15 here, thats less then 1% of the total DAOC community.

and i love people who say "no skill is involved" or as venerable stated "You're still a bandwagon jumping tosser", i don't give a fuck if i play a popular class, i don't give a fuck if i play a super overpowered class that people constant use the same fucking arguement over and over again, when the people who do play a BD will tell you that <shock> BDs can't solo fgs <even more shocked> i can't survive 7 infils hitting me <shocked even more!> my AB buff doesn't stack with my self AB buff!!!

oh my god, heresy! Constanze actually killed me!! (my purge was down), omg! a alb grp killed me, omg, that can't be right... i should have been able to kill em all with my eyes closed!

and omg! i actually pressed a button other then my life tap! opps i pressed summon bone master, whoops i pressed summon bonemender twice! I'm on a roll now! omg, whats this? i pressed my self sheild/BT/AB buff! Opps, i pressed my pet buffs, silly me, and so on.

(btw, i am very sorry for the use of certain hostile words during this thread, because as normal i am very very very pissed off)

not really... as a BD you would have same lifedrain as Spiritmaster... that's true... but as a BD you got healing pets that could heal you or your commander (I think, or if it's just the BD they heal)

and the SM gets AE mess instead...

What a load of total bollocks.

So how was this managed exactly?

BD's have a single target root, 1 tank pet and 3 healers.

So say the BD manages to root ALL 6 people that you say, say 2 purge, then the BD has to take one and the pet takes the other.

That still leave 4 people rooted that may have some for of ranged attack, so the BD still managed to take all 6?

venerable, stop making bullshit up, or if you DID get told this, they are taking the piss out of you.

There is no way a BD could survive 2 inf's never mind one of them being RR10 and buffed.

They may have taken out all those guys beacuse they would of been foolish, waited for the bonedancer to kill the other stealther, then jump in thinking the BD will be easier to kill (and more importantly for them get all the RP) which by the time they line up im back at full health and am moving about beacuse i know most infs dont travel alone, they miss there PA and dont last long, this has happened to me several times. My record is 6 in a row :p. Althought i have killed quite a few infs i have also been killed by quite a few, they hit for 700/800+ on there PA + disease gonna have to be quick on the purge and tap or next hit ur a goner.

For all the people saying FOTM whatever that is, i figures its thing of the moment ? This is my first charecter and any other i have is below 27. I am not "uber specced" im 47 supp 26 ba, which can be fun with the aoe dot i have caught countless stealthers at mile gates and its fun in keep takes. When i see all these new bonedancers around everywhere it anoys me a little too

but instead of stereotyping every bonedancer as some "FOTM" 3 year old with no skill ...... think about it and shut the fuck up ? we've heard it all before

FOTM = Flavour of the month, ie whats new and overpowered.

And im sure it really pains you to see more bonedancers, because it might hinder your reputation as someone who rolled an fotm class :eek:

Edit : No BDs are probably 3 years old, and age doesnt really play a factor. They are however, rather skilless, and ill be happy to remind you until you roll something decent (Edit the edit) or you get nerfed :p

Read what I said - "if this is true" - I was just reporting what I was told by Vanion who WAS THERE. He had no reason to bullshit...we spent a long time farming DF together today and he struck me as sincere and not a wind-up merchant.

He did add that those albs did play *poorly* and handed the win to the BD easily as a result.

So no I'm not bullshitting and I don't think it's a wind-up. I do think some facts are missing, like maybe more mids, but the general gist was "omfg" at the power of the BD.

How is it done? Where the fuck have you been the last 6 months? BDs simply run around spamming lifetap.

Don't shoot the messenger, especially as I added the qualifier of whether it was true or not.

Furthermore, I have seen first hand Mill take out 6 albs easily with the help of a healer. Healer mezzed and Mill picked us off 1 by 1. I even killed a healer pet of his early and all 6 of us died still. That is not bullshit. I shit you not when I say that Mill is a rock hard bastard and there's nothing many people can do to stop him. So whether Vanion bullshitted me or not is irrelevant imo - I know how destructive a BD can be.

Actually, I labelled the class as FOTM, which does not imply all BD players as FOTM types.

Imo BDs fall into 2 categories:

1. New players who happen to roll a BD
2. Disaffected players who rolled chars they "consider" gimps and want to "own", e.g. ex-thanes.

I agree with fighterszuntu...where's the skill in spamming lifetap and running around?

Bear this in mind too...out of all the SI classes, BDs have risen to high RRs so fast. I don't recall seeing any RR6/7 valewalkers or necros etc. BDs are good for RP farming and only a fool would disagree.

Brite I think in my 18 months in this game you are the only caster that I have seen solo the umbrood warriors at midside DF. I'd love to hear about another casting class soloing those mobs. Still, you had a little more trouble when you got a cheeky saracen pop :)

ROFL that was u lol !!!! i came hunting you after that i didnt lose no exp or nowt so all was good and my rezzer earnt some rp :) i put on my crafted gear to come get u but u went hiding somwhere. I Farmed 2.8 Plat that morning :D

oh and by the way 375 as on opening hit with my Hunting rags on...... :p go you :p

also i wouldnt really class my self as too new beacuse i played a chanter in beta :p but they kept deleteing me ! basts
