When my friends got slaughtered and decided to "bless" my car with a bottle of champagne i put their passed out bodies on a bus to Glasgow (we live nr london)
The telephone calls next day when they didn't have enough money to get back home left me with a twang of guilt

haven't really ever done something downright malicious tbh :p

We onced moved a guy's room (him, his bed, and most of his furniture) from the 8th floor down to the first floor. He was still drunk when we woke him up, picked him up and threw him out of his window.

Guy nearly had heart failure. He screamed thinking he was falling to his death. In reality he fell about 2 foot.

Student days...

If you can't talk about an issue with "lol okey" kind of comments, then back the f*ck off.

Stop wasting my time and refrai from comenting if you can't even discuss a matter you want to comment on.

But if you want "proof", if you see a fight break out, go in between in a bar or somewhere on the street and see if they all just "get along" as Bugz gives a big speach about hugging eachother.

Sorry Old, your perspective is skewed on this bud. Quite often the bullies will walk away - they like to pick on singular targets who have no support. That's not to say they won't target you later....when they have gathered more 'friends' like the cowards they are. And you took the argument out of context, it was a comment that was school-based and you moved it to the (drunken) wider world.

Same thing. Bullies are bullies, no matter the age.

I've gone defend a kid, i've gotten my a** kicked for it, you haven't even gone there, so hows about you listen to some experience.

If you don't want to "argue" with me, then don't even f*cking start.

I'd like to think we've all stepped in and helped people, I certainly have but I've never been decked because of it. And frankly it sounds like you have issues. A school context is very different to a normal one - bullies come in different forms and in different ways, your argument is both vague and lacking substance. I will take up the gauntlet on this issue if it's a reasoned argument.

No, you get your a** kicked. That's a fact of life and if it hasn't happened to you yet, prepare for it. You defend someone about to get their heads kicked in, you become the target and that solves nothing.

You can't stop shit from going down, you can help in cleaning it up afterwards.

Hmm... you can stop "shit from going down". You just need to be stronger than the bully:ninja:

Live in Maidstone, used to live in Canterbury :)

I couldn't afford the body armour and armoured car to live out there :worthy:

Parts of Thanet are indeed run down and pretty sketchy areas to live in.

The murder of the drug-guy was down the road from the missus' house.

Thankfully I live in quite a quaint little area.

Like i said, bullies are bullies at any age.

My perspective isn't skewed, it's personal, from personal experience. If you haven't been decked for helping, and i have, which of the points is true? That it happens or it doesn't?

I don't have issues, i just know that things go south and don't live in a lala land where nothing goes wrong and helping is always appreciated/the thing to do.

In my personal experience, as a spectator and a member of the schools Anti-Bullying Committee, bullies in school bully because they know they won't get opposition. If you provide an opposition or a defense, in any way, to deter the bullies, most of the time they will walk away and/or give up.

Or they don't, that's the whole point.

One could quote starwars on what you said though, "my people are dying while you discuss the matter in a committee". Hmh. Anti-Bully Committee.

Errr Seel, you seemed quite adament:

Seel said:
No, you get your a** kicked. That's a fact of life

So now the stance has changed from, you may get your ass kicked OR the bullies may walk away.

So your ass getting kicked isn't a fact of life then?

See what I said about the twisting of words? You argue one point, that point gets destoryed, so you change your point and then argue that.

Seel said:

Ironically Seel, that's part of what a anti-bullying committee does - helps people to deal with the situation afterwards. So why the hmph?

Give up Seel - your iceblock is melting!

F*kc off already. You're just trying to find, with a very thin comb, anything to say against me. It is a fact of life that at som point you will get your a** kicked. Like i said: Haven't saved enough to feel it or you're lucky.

There's no need for twisting for words, nor have i twisted anything as there's no "great battle of arguments", except in your own head. I stand behind my points all the time, just that you have to retort to "you're being like this and that" cop-outs since you can't even answer anything. Why? Because i have a f*cking point.

So you help the people afterwards, just like i said one should, yet you argue against what i said? What the f*ck?

Grow up Bugz, seriously.

I made a fair point, it's a point of fact, yet you have to retort to that?

I just don't really have the time to spend arguing the point back and forth

hm probably in year 8-9 and maybe a bit of 10 I was pretty fucking horrible to a certain few teachers i didn't like, making their life misery. I found it funny at the time and liked to break them, to make them cry and run out of the classroom was the ultimate achievement and i made it happen on 2 occasions with one teacher.

Pretty ashamed thinking about it now.

Same for me tbh and I'm NOT proud of it. There was a gal who was studying to become a teacher and in Germany you have to teach at a school during your studies, so she did a replacement course in our class. She was so nice, but with a friend of mine I made her cry and swear she'd never come back to our class...ever. She ran out of the classroom etc. and while at this moment it was kinda funny, I now wish I could turn back time :/

There was also some guy with which I played Ultima Online on a freeshard and nobody really liked him. But well, I always was a bitch on forums, so I teased him again and again, picking on his writing style, his playstyle and his behaviour, but always in a way so other people would laugh. I never used an insult etc. but just psycho terror so in the end he pm'd me on ICQ and totally abused me and I was soooo like "haha, you lost your temper so badly". Well now I think I was being a total asshole back then and even though I can still be a bitch, I try to hold myself back.

Overall I was always fucking disgusting to some people and uber nice to others so that the important people always covered me...not a nice thing to do :/ I spent half a year at a semi-private school in France and that kinda helped me cause when I came back, I was much nicer and all =)

Ahh.. thanks. That gave me a laugh. :m00:

Having a hearing problem again? I don't need you trying to start a flamewar. Petty and childish. By the way, keep your thanks in any form, ironic or not, my appreciation towards you is so little that even your thanks are worthless.

I just don't really have the time to spend arguing the point back and forth

You believe what you want - the rest of us will believe what we want ;d

It's not me vs the rest, thank you for not making it seem so.

You have to agree that i have a point, that helping isn't always good as it could get you decked.

The fact of it is in that it happens, not how often.
