It's going to be a rough couple of years for anyone looking to build or upgrade a PC. Say what you like about crypto mining but at least that was "just" GPUs, this is going to affect most component categories - especially anything that needs RAM (system RAM or VRAM) or flash storage.

They were never a large manufacturer in the consumer area anyway, the issue might become that it'll eventually reduce competition.
