Okay...

1. I didnt log onto Daws tonight infact i lost his password atm sincie i accidently deleted the file i keep his one in.. so Dont blame daws Herbal.. b4 u hear the real story...

2. I Got the information for a IRL Friend (not daws) i told anybody who asked me about how i got the information this.

3. When i get info like 64 Albs in Odins from a RL friend, ofc im gonna tell my realm.. its not me spieing... its a stupid alb telling the enemie something he shouldnt.

4. I wouldnt get info from loging onto a m8s account, but LOADS of info is passed about via IRC every night and by telepone in this case by my RL friend.

Call me evil, whatever, my friend told me the numbers of albs in odin and i was shocked and didnt know why nothing had been said in /as so i said it...

I dont think anybody would stay quite in that circumstance... if you do then /respect your a bigger man then I...

Flames dont bothe me for I personally know that half of the people dont have ground to stand on...

There is a member of my very own guild who was sent to Midgard to spy on our beloved Nolby Pride, but after lvling an alt here to be able to spy decided she liked Midgard to much and swaped over to midgard.

still sucks that ud use info like this what point in having relics if u need to cheat to defend em or take em?:rolleyes:

personally i know when we lost a relic to mid str relica freind of mine in game new about it 3 hours before the raid happened because hed been informed but didnt say a word (wont name names here because albs might get mithed:p ) imo if u cant defend a relic or keep or what ever without having such info u dont deserve to have it, i mean wtf is the point of playing this game if every time a larger than 4fg of nme step out of there portal keep? Thats why mythic dont allow u talk between realms in game we are supposed to be enemies imo spying sucks:puke:

As for having a go at daws what was i supposed to think u online with daws frequently in past two weeks then this happens plus daws logged just before we went to odins.....

Tbh karl this sucks u should have the maturity and guts not to have to stoop so low to use info like this. Also another point how do u think this will affect relic raids when u cant do normal hours raids because some shitfaced little gobshite might be online to tell mids/hibs/albs that they have x number of high lvl albs/mids/hibs just ported to there realm and its big enough to attack a relic?
Hell talking to you in game i liked you but this just plain sucks no way u twist or try to wrangle out of it,its sad tosser like you who use info like this if they wanted to hear it or not, if they got it themselves or not, that ruin this game.

Hope goa ban u although knowing them itll be a 3 min suppension:sleeping:

and yes im very very pissed of atm

As stated in my previous post... I did no spying whatsoever...

Goa have no reaosn to ban me... not even for 3 minuites...

The fact of the matter is that an Alb said it to me without realising that he had...

I had 2 options...

1. Take his word for it and tell the mids now... who Were as stated already camping odins amg...

2. Take a wonder on up to odins to witness the army myself and then tell the mids...

/respec to your friend for keeping quite about the mid relic raid...

Im not botherd about what everybody thinks about me personally and my moralls...

cos...

1. Its a game...
2. I passed on information that i had recived that was important to the security of my realm in the way i knew possible...

I personally would not spy using another account mainly cos i dont take the game that seriously... im not gonna buy another account to spy... but if information comes to me... by means other then me finding it out myself by using a m8s account then i will not hesitate to use that info... if you disagree with my policy on that... fine... lets agree to disagree... its not me you should be angry at its the albs who are telling mids the information you should be angry at.

every realm here has its spies... im not one of them...

I still believe that if information came to a good majority of albs.. maybe you.. i dont know u well enough to comment... they would not sit back and say fine.. il just exp here... they would either wonder on up to hadriens to see if there really was a mid army there or tell some other people.

Karl, to be hounest from what Ive read I dont think you've done anything wrong.

If a similiar thing happened on the side of the albs would they be expected to keep the information a secret and then look like a sucker when the relic was lost.

I can see both opinions here but at the end of the day it is only a game, it is more the fault of the alb that leaked the information rather then Karls for acting on it.

BTW im not only saying this because we have similiar names ;)

thought it would be a laugh, I said meet in odins.. cos.. i have speed... he does not... and odins isnt emain...

he did a /who odins i guess and said to me...

"Er, nah goto hadriens, 64 albs in odins you wont get there alive"

Hence the slip up ;)

When mids did relicraid on alb i saw hibs massive suicide 2 mins after i knew .....

IMHO

Karl I believe U, that u not try to got this info especially, or spy, no point suspect u in that. Alb and Mids can sit in 2 steps playing in Inet-club or home, and no odds how u get this info.
Important OTHER: u was MUST don't PUBLICATE this info. It's as in IRL...your deed was not a gentlemanly and no respect to u for that.

LoL was with Karl in a Cg at odins gate sitting there on AMG, when he said 64 Albs in odins.

We thought well bloody hell where are they ???

I sat back took a little sip from my beer can to look and then look again refocus my eyes and see about 100 Albs running up the hill towards AMG in odins i thought ohh my god.

Then on /as it was spammed over 100 Albs odins AMG, for Karl to say, ohh them the ones i been telling you about ;)

I got to say, it was very very funny.

Ohh and as to if it was cheating, and crap like that all I say to those people is get a life, if people want to blab about this cross realm, then thats there fault, I know for a fact that in our guild we have 2 high lvl alb players (im not saying they are spys) but its the chance you take in this game.

I'd just like to set the record str8 on this this Alb that went to mid to spy but decided to saty thing:

The Albs u mention are Tiac and Chosen. They were both in GoL in Albion, and I never truly got the impression that they enjoyed DAOC at all, infact they always just seemed to be bored, and be ranting on about something or another. Then they were just 2 of the many indescisive Albs that flipped realms.

They may have tried to colour up their realm swapping by mysterious and intruiging ploys such as realm spying yadda yadda, but at the end of the day they didnt really reach any sort of status on Albion with their gimpy classes (both mid-lvl tanks I think), and decided simply to try Midguard out.

Spies that decided to stay rofl :m00:

Also Daws, exactly how many people have got access to your account atm? seems to me like most of Midgard and hibernia do, I don't like it!

PS btw if some1 deletes and Alb character and starts a Mid one, how does that make him a spy? lol this is a game not the Cold War.

Hmm didn't need to spy anyway, Odin's was filled with Mids and Hibs so most spotted the Albs soon enough.

We had sent a lvl 37 guildie shade, Odarallo, to scout around. Only half listened to what he was saying, us being the uber lvl 50 and all (; So I missed the

> 7fg albs coming from wall, repeat 7g

initially. What followed was a small battle with 1fg invaders, think it was albs. As we were about 20 peeps, we won easily. Odarallo had been going on about Albs coming from wall, I figured he exaggerated a bit (as some lowbies tend to do; OMG 5+ FG -> 12 albs show up, etc) and that was it. Suddenly:

Someone> ALBS ahead !!! 4+ fg !!
Odarallo> 7fg, I warned you
<20 Hib death messages later>
Someone> On second thought, let's not go to Odin's; it's a silly place. ((c) monty python)

Remind me to pay more attention to the lower level scouts next time ( ;

I don't care much if people mess around with cheats or get infomation from IRC of irl friends that phone them to tell how many albs. are in odins.

What I do care about is when these people publicly use said infomation and thus ruin the game for the countless others that would want a clean game.

What I do care even more about is the seemingless "It is okay, everybody does it" - rutine that is about to make me sick.

In my time in DaoC, I've seen much complaining from people due to failed raids due to (most likely) spys - peoples complaining about bugabuse and/or blatant cheats.

If you get infomation from an IRL friend over the phone, and use it - it is still spying/crossteaming or whatever you want to call it - I just call it lame. It *is* infomation that couldn't be obtained legally within the game boundaries, and thus is wrong to use.

Well I guess I am a bigger man then you.
Good for me, but bad for me I play a game where such an attitude is prestent that it is okay to break game boundaries to win.

It is a game, yes - but by playing "unfair" you ruin the game for everybody that wants to play fair.

Mids can't group with albs yet Karl. Not until the PvP server.

Read again, think two times.

As what my little kobold brain get as result after thinking a few seconds I think the idea was not to run around together at rm speed. I think the idea was that karl have speed and can go to odins faster than the dude can get to yggdra/uppland... :)

how many RR we hear about 2-3 hours previous ???? We have stopped mids RR cause we knew they were coming . let the one that is innocent cast 1st stone, i know i wont be in the 1st 100.
