Poor Bastard :(

What a legend! :(

Always makes me laugh when South Park spoffed him, Cartman running around saying "Im gonna stick my thumb up its arse and really piss him off"

I'd never heard of him before, neither seen any of his TV shows.

Yet I feel sad when reading those news, he seemed to be a great person.

RIP Steve Irwin

Watch some of his videos on youtube / google video and you'll get a taste of what he was like

According to some newspapers, he requested that if he died while being filmed, he wants the film to be broadcasted in TV. :eek7:
To be honest, I think that´s a little out of place, considering that his children and family will have a hard time avoiding the pictures, even if they don´t want to see them.

Inspired by Kagatos sig, here's the full poem. Its by William Butler Yeats (my all time favourite poet)

I know that I shall meet my fate
Somewhere among the clouds above:
Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love:
My country is Kiltartan Cross,
My countrymen Kiltartan's poor,
No likely end could bring them loss
Or leave them happier than before.
Nor law, nor duty bade me fight,
Nor public men, nor cheering crowds,
A lonely impulse of delight
Drove to this tumult in the clouds;
I balanced all, brought all to mind,
The years to come seemed waste of breath,
A waste of breath the years behind
In balance with this life, this death.

I found it quoted in the booklet that came with the special edition of the Sky Blue anime, for which it was quite an apt poem.

Nice to see the poem though and it is still indeed apt. Though completely out of place in this thread sadly.
