Aye

A load of sick shit came out about 9/11 too if you remember. In fact, any and all terrible things that can, has, and may happen to anyone, someone has or will post something unpleasant about it. Its the way ppl are these days. Especially easy when you can hide behind the anonymity of the net.

So true.
Read the comments on the Youtube movie from reply #58. That´s an example of our modern society.

Sad news but as they say - fuck with bull and you will get the horns...

More amazed he went on as long as he did tbh without getting ganked - suppose thats a reflection of his skill/luck/judgement but who knows..

Without making a huge discussion of it , any time someone dies in an unusual manner and it becomes in anyway popular with the public in terms of media and attention given, you can imagine it can become the brunt of a few jokes from people who dont know them personally . Its always the way, its tasteless which is true but this is human nature ,we laugh at things we dont understand .

On another note , I really REALLY enjoyed watching this guy preform , and thats what he did . Yes he saved animals in danger, yes he brought up the population of many near extinct aninals in Australia , yes he taught a lot of people about animals in their enviroment , yes he did buckets full for australia , for the public and for kids and charitys but at the end of the day he was a preformer and a down to earth entertainer with an amazing and unique personality . You knew from watching this guy for more than 30 seconds, WOW this guy is different , this guy doesnt care how whacky he can be juggling 20 rattlesnacks at once , or his overly charasmatic nature, he just lives for fun and he will go miles a minute just to make some people laugh and learn at the same time . Followed loads of his shows, and I loved them . The fact that he got so intimate with the audience in the sense that he showed us his family, his home , his way of life has made just about all of us learn one thing .. the only thing that he was better at than being an entertainer and teacher was being a father and a husband .

My biggest and most heartful wishes to all his family and friends , even though I never knew him , I could imagine I would have come out of it a lot more positive and care free if I had .

Rest in Peace and thanks for the laughs :)

RIP fella. he lived a fulfilled, happy life. Guess thats more than most... /respect. :worthy:

Very enjoyable to watch...

condolences to his family and friends, sad to hear.

Seems to me he went too far... He knew, and understood crocs etc, but the underwater world was one more step that he should not have taken.

Feel bad he has passed away.. he was one of the "true" heroes imo on television. Nothing but pure, straight passion for what he felt was right. No real economic intrest behind or anything. Just the love for animals.

R.I.P

We should go chain kill stingrays in ml3 :flame:

One of my favorite tv personalities. I caught a snake in the girls lockerroom the first day of college imitating him (he could have told me snakes will piss on you though :))
Crikey, Steve-o. You will be missed!

Aww :( sad to see him go like that, although at the same time it is not totally surprising that it was his job that got to him in the end - atleast he went out doing what he loved :)

RIP Steve

Dont toy with animals you cant handle, even if you think you know them well those animals are unpredictable and one day it goes wrong, no sorry for him, but just his own fault...

As a lot of people have said wasn't a huge shock always from the first time I saw him thought that one day he would end up very badly hurt or dead.

Still its very sad a great entertainer who brought wildlife too the homes of many people who previously would not have concidered watching a wildlife program.

RIP hope they got crocs in heaven :)

So you refuse to say RIP to a man who helped nature so many times?

What a little shit you really are.

I have so many things i would like to say to you for that post. But they would get me banned and you are not worth that.
Steve Irwin was a great man, loving husband and father.
For years he let old aswell as young into the world of dangerous, funny and exiting animals and showed them close up and personal.
He did so much for nature and creatures living there that i can't even mention a fraction of it.

Rest in peace, I feel sorry for his family, I hope they cope.

love him or hate him, steve was one of natures most passionate defenders and he loved wild life, I respect that.

I think its fair to say he made a whole new generation stand up and take notice of the dramatically decreasing wild life left on this world.

An Irish Airman Foresees His Death

Inspired by Kagatos sig, here's the full poem. Its by William Butler Yeats (my all time favourite poet)

I know that I shall meet my fate
Somewhere among the clouds above:
Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love:
My country is Kiltartan Cross,
My countrymen Kiltartan's poor,
No likely end could bring them loss
Or leave them happier than before.
Nor law, nor duty bade me fight,
Nor public men, nor cheering crowds,
A lonely impulse of delight
Drove to this tumult in the clouds;
I balanced all, brought all to mind,
The years to come seemed waste of breath,
A waste of breath the years behind
In balance with this life, this death.
