RIP

I still can't see why a man with a wife and kids would still want to risk his life every day. Yes he loved it, but he had so much to lose

Sombody mentionned animal cruelty

AOL News said:
The public image was dented in 2004 when Irwin triggered an uproar by holding his baby in one arm while feeding large crocodiles inside a zoo pen. Irwin claimed at the time there was no danger to his son, and authorities declined to charge Irwin with violating safety regulations.

Later that year, he was accused of getting too close to penguins, a seal and humpback whales in Antarctica while making a documentary. Irwin denied any wrongdoing, and an Australian Environment Department investigation recommended no action be taken against him.

Crikey mate =[ he's gone, he did so much for animals and nobody really took any notice, they thought he was just a complete nutter, which he was i guess =]

RIP.

Well, atleast he died by doing the stuff he loved! His last words probably sounded like "What a beauty!"

I just spoke to a guy in my office and he said something along: "Well, he´s a case for Darwin Awards". I asked him why and he continued: "He should have known better. I read an interview with him and he said that he always got full control over what he does."
I pointed out that the same was probably true for Ayrton Senna and whether he´d consider him a case for DA too and in addition, stingrays almost never attack people, to which he replied in an attempt of being witty: "Well.. neither do I, but that´s still no reason to get too close to me." o_O

The priggish arrogance of some people is truly amazing. :/

Wow, he put himself into danger so many times that I suppose something was going to get him eventually...

He died doing what he loved.

Tbh i dout anyone can be truelly suprised. If your truelly honest towards your initial reaction when you fist glimsed the headline. that being said it's still very sad indeed. and altho one can debate is aprouch and tactics, no one can deny the contribution he brought to the awearness of wildlife. he simply did it though small "eadable chunks of entertainment"
