well, after boosting the pl to ~99% they also turned off [guessing here] the router leading to their dns servers. being the smart peeps that they are, both the dns servers are in the same network. remember when the MS site were unavailable? that was because MS prolly had chello people working for them at the time [as they made the same mistake with their dns heh]
anyway, being aware of things like this [chello pulls this kind of stunt every other month or so] I have a list of alternate dns servers to choose from. however I found that I couldn't get beyond my firewall's gateway [or further than two hops into the network]. I called it a night.
