I have no idea for armourcraft but for weaponcraft various estimates range from 5-20plats

My current (negative) estimate is 5 1/2 plat. This assumes you are skilling on reinforced, with 4 successful combines giving you a skill raise.

It would have been cheaper prior to 1.50, but salvaging scale is no longer cost effective :(

Yeah i'm on with RF armor cos it's a arse on PL metal work at mo as the cost of metal bars to make the likes of shelf brackets can be expensive.

Looks like it's gonna be about this time next year for me to hit 1000 then.. if it's about 5-6 plat

thx for info :D

Well, making trinkets to PL metal work is very cheap (only a tiny loss). However making bodkin/broadhead arrows or weapons is a faster way to raise metal working.

The cost isn't that bad if you start salvaging dropped armour/weapons. Solo farming in corus mines can net you a tidy sum :)

Items to look out for (for example)
Gem Encrusted Claw - 34 diamond bars
Finilath Firebrand - 50 ish diamond bars?
Glistening Greatsword - 74 diamond bars :)

Anything with a quality of 90%+ salvages for a good number of bars.

tbh i've not done much salvage on drops..

[p.s. Is CM like sprags now? taken over by the event??]

No, the inside of CM has been unaffected by the events so far

?

How much metal skill-lvl do u need to salvage firebrands and claw ?

Hmm, I'm not sure to be honest. I was able to salvage them when my metal working was 600, but that was the first time I tried it on items that yield diamond bars.

Not really wortth trying until your metal working is 700+ though, since you need that level of skill to be able to trinket the bars into brackets/hinges (never sell the bars, always trinket them).

Powerskilling 600-1000 cost me round 10 plat i think. No consignments, no salvaging, no trinkets.

Weaponcrafting should be more timeconsuming, but could be a bit cheaper (longbows cost a fortune to make, 105g for duskwood - and each bow is 25 skillpoints apart, meaning u spend a lot of time out of the gainzones).

Gainzones = skill+1 to skill+10
where u gain the fastest.

Hiya All

I am a fletcher on hyb/pryd and am unsure about AC skilling costs, it may be worth asking on pryd forums, i think we have maybe 5-6 AC's now at 1000+

As far as /salvage goes u need 700+ pref 750+ to trinket any drop that would be usefull for lvl 40+ as these are giving up tier 8 materials ie Diamond

700+ allows u to make brackets which use 1 Diamond bar
750+ allows u to make Hinges which use 2 Diamond bars

So with 750 skill u rouhgly half your trinket time (wont take u long to get 700-750 trinketing tho ;)

The Most common drop i slavage are Firbrands that give up 68 Diamond bars from new. (appart from df items that is)
Azure avengers are also good at 109 bars (less commom)

If u really want to make some money start buying/pharming diamond seals and salvage some of the uber df items. This is by far the best way to make money imo. It takes an age to trinket them but if u have the patience u can make a fortune.

The real question is: are you willing to spend the time and money instead of sponsoring someone else? There's starting to be "enough" highlevel armorcrafters as it is, the market won't be unlimited anyway...

Although making your own armor once spellcrafting hits is probably going to be more cost-effective than buying high quality stuff from any of us crafters anyway...
