Hi All, I just recently started crafting with my Hero on Weaponcrafting, got it to 650. I was wondering when I'm able to Salvage/Trinket, (i.e. Classic DaoC Items, SI Items, TOA) as in whats the mininmum amount of ranks I'll require, and also how do I do consignments, and are they worth doing???

well, to trinket diamond stuff from DF you really need to be 800, for toa rogs (arcanite) you need to be around 1000.

1030 or something and you can salvage/trinkt everythign using the 20 metal/trinket recipe. thats for metal working.

If its only for salvage do yourself a favour: start again as a tailor.

Faster & far far cheaper: even if the WCer is starting from 650 or so.

Consigmnents run out at 500 or so (or was it 600?). Anyway your too high in skill for those now. At really low skill levels you can say 'task' to your tradeskill trainer, youll be asked to make an item and deliver it to a 'nearby' NPC.

The items can be anything youll gain skill on (green - red) - and the profit on them is relatively tiny. Back in the early days they were possibly worth doing since there were few other 'easy' sources of gold, now youd have to be seriously insane to put the time in to do these for the relatively tiny reward (most earned 500g or so profit tasking from 0 to wherever it stopped from what I recall)

the other thing you can do is the tradeskill quests - these start from 500 / 600 / 700 / 800, and you can get an item that gives you up to a 10% bonus on gaining weaponskill
