Ello,

My machine seems to be overheating a bit lately - I think the reason being I've started playing some games again. I think I need to upgrade my CPU and system fans. This is an area I know absolutely sod all about so I'm appealing for those of you who are interested in this side of computing to give me a clue as to what I should get.

Basically I think I want one intake, one exhaust and one CPU fan. I'd like them to be not *that* noisy since my PC is in my room and I leave it on at night. That said, I'd like them to be pretty potent since the ones in there already seem to be useless. Finally, I'd really rather not spend a great deal of cash.

Any advice is hugely appreciated and said appreciation will be shown with massive over-use of bow/fluffle smileys.

Oh, and I've got a P4 2.8 HT, and I think standard 80mm system fan slots - incase that's required info.

Ta!

Scythe Ninja
Thermalright XP120
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

Three of the best coolers out there. The top two you are able to buy your own 120mm fan, so you can choose the quietest if you want.

What about thermal paste - do they all come with a good splodge of it or do I need to get some of that?

They usually come with some, but it might be best to spend 2 quid on some more just in case.
