i need a box to fit a cpu; an athlon xp3200+ specifically. what size box will i need and where can i obtain one from?

If you can't find a suitable box then your could always use an anti-static bag if you have one lying about (you tend to get them with most components nowadays, such as RAM, graphics cards etc., they often have a metalic or reinforced plastic finish to them). You could then store the CPU in any box providing there is plenty of padding (bubble wrap, perhaps).

If you happen to be returning the CPU, then you could also try contacting wherever you're sending it to and asking them for an appropriate box or bag. I know of at least one place which has dished out anti-static bags for returning graphics cards.

Buy a large box of Swan matches, wrap the chip up, and put it in there.
