Yet more reasons to fight in our own frontier. No PK to run back to and more team players there, who are out for the interests of Albion - and not to get a few more realm points in the bag.
Sadly, even with 5 full groups of Hibs in Hadrians Wall last night the zerg was spending its silver on a trip to Emain.

How else do you explain 1fg of GoP stopping nearly 3fgs of Mids coming into DF ?
They were too cowardly to attack until we got bored and all but two of us had left and I'm sure all of us can think of occassions where this has happened. (Although I was quite amused at the brave middies who had been p'ing themselves at the entrance till we were dead, who then came down and jumped on us, very brave there weren't we )
It will happen, it has happened and will keep happening. It is getting better, I know I'm getting to the level where I can run in and not die in 1 hit (usually takes 1 1/2 now) so I'm more likely to charge...
I must agree about people porting to Emain/Odin when there are enemies in our own frontier though... it's not really on.

None of those could be called cowards, you should of seen the amount of mids laying dead at the feet of a Mini, a cleric and 6 casters (with variations during the week)
yes theres the odd time when the Actions of some Albs seems stupid (like last night, enough Albs in Emain to make 6fg's, yet becasue they wouldnt work as a team, we kept getting run over by the Mids, who whilst many call dum, seem to understand to stay together
As for 80% being cowards, nah dont beleive it, just too many free spirited people

It even happens in battlegrounds, sighted a small group of mids, yelled charge, ran into the mids, the rest of the albs were peeping over a hilltop, watched me and my friend get hacked down. They seem to fear trolls more than anything, I remember 2 trolls standing watching 12 albs, I suggested we attack them, the general reply was "but they're trolls" so I charged them myself, and hacked them down - shaman die pretty quickly, and once the albs saw me easily dispatch me they followed me to the next one.
I might point out that this is a game, you can "live again" after you die, so why be afraid?

IMHO -
ALb rvr (and very likely mids and hibs in many cases) =
Decent force of People at say AMG. 1 team suddenly sees 2 mids....and they charge off. 15 other Albs who are
A- not bothered about winning and want RPs.
B- want no part in albion victories and dont wish to stay as a unit
C- people who just dont listen
run off and follow the 1 team that has run north to kill 2 mids.
This leaves the main group down on numbers..allowing those to die. Which in turn leaves the seperated people outnumbered and dead.
Sure there are many vaiations of rvr and wins/losses.....but this scenario is so prevalant that is makes me wonder if half of ALb arnt down the pub and have left their pet goldfish to play for some free rps in the meantime.
2nd on my grudge list.
40 Mids camping AMG.
20 albs rush in and die.....while those 20 release and sit on pad....another 20 albs who have JUST ported rush in and die. It amazes me that this circle can carry on for hours with no1 actually sitting up and saying'guy lets wait APK for the next port to arrive and kill the mids'.

On the whole, there are some very good and very bad RVR players in all realms. Its a shame the bad players often get both themselves and the good players killed though, thus giving a misleading picture that '80% of albs are cowards'.

Okay. We are at amg. we outnumber mids with ease. Albs are advancing to the gates. I yell GO? then I get support from Bell and a few tanks and it looks like people are following, then, one dies, was bell..then people start backing up... that's so nice..

Soulfly i sure as hell would of charged with you,the group members with me yesterday have seen me not fuck about i go straight in i don't care who many there are.Last night 1 am gmt i think albs were standing there i just rushed straight through with my group who were very good too and not cowards,if you don't beleive me well i gained 50k yesterday from charging mids mainly with my group.
Fact is some people rather run and gain shit than stand fight and gain some rps.
Totally agree with you soulfly,i have seen you in rvr and you sure as hell aren't a coward.

You are a strong realm, You have great players and when you use them excellent tactics.
Put aside your petty differences and band together. Rp's mean nothing it is only a game after all. You can farm much more easily if you control the battlefield. To control the field you need to work as one.
Running only gets you so far, If you hold your ground and face your enemies you learn how to react. The better you react the longer you live.
You CAN do it!
Unity is the answer, trust your fellows. Learn their strengths and weaknesses. Work to support your realm mates and you will win. A smaller well organised force can and will win against a bigger disorganised force.
If you want an example then the 2 Renaris retakes I was present at last week can back it up. One was a bit of a slapdash affair and us Mids farmed you. The second was a well organised and efficent retake and we Mids got creamed.
You CAN do it. Just have the patience and the bravery to do it.
After all it is only a game and when you die you come back again!

I thought the bind stone in cs would stop this. everyone who doesnt like running lets be like a fireman and strike emain, lets get together and do mid, take a few keeps (god i hate taking keeps.boring) and hold 1 till the mids show their ugly faces. Or go to Hib and smash their relic keep doors every night (everyone knows hibs sleep till midnight)
All people are differant and you will always get people who esitate, run or charge thinking they are invincable.
We can moan for the next year about emain,cowards and people who cant follow any chain of command or we, the people who have played this game for the past year can change how the game is played.

I NEVER RUN WAY and I always ask my group to fight !!!
Because if you see you are outnumbered you aren't going to run far anway so I like to fight and try and to at least take one of the enemy down with me. If I'm the last one standing I'll fight to bitter end.
and yes ozwaldo it's changed a lot now this game and I think that's down to goa making everyone feel that being 50 and creating a zerg situation is what it's all about. But at one time the game in rvr was really good fun...not much fun anymore for me.

As for running.
True, a lot of times it comes down to Albs standing there, then running when charged.
Running when the other side has already begun charging is in 99.99% of the cases futile.
Either decide to stand and fight no matter what, or retreat _before_ they charge.
If you think you are outnumbered/outleveled, why stay and wait for the inevitable?
Pull back and go hide behind a tree or port to Odin's for God's sake...

Fgs whoever is doing what is doing it wrong IMO and making everyone think that reaching 50 is all that counts and making a saddo zerg in emain is what the game is all about.
with 4 X 50 chars on alb...and a whole load of experience I can tell you that there is a lot more to done in game than get 50 and going zerging UGH, I have some intelligence which sadly the powers that be to create the game don't credit me with
