Counter-strike - what is it exactly?

I have heard from many people that this game is nice.

Do I need a Quake 3 (original) to play it? Where do I download the game?

Which joystick would you recommend to play it with?

Counterstrike is what they call a mod of the Quake 3 game. It was released in Dec 2001 and you may find the odd server here and there that have the game on - but you need to look carefully. Try downloading a superb program called Gamespy Arcade to search for them.

You need Quake 3 along with it's CD Key.

You can download the 1.5 meg patch from the Barrysworld ftp.

I suggest the PSone Dual shock for the 2 analogue sticks. Most people prefer to play with Keyboard only.

Dunno. My mate's brother at work says he has it on his XBox and it is really good.

It is a HalfLife mod and I am not [UKLA] Jobbie. I'm much better than that lamer.
