Hmm, i believe that that HL Stats for this week was only a BETA/Test Run? but i feckin never knew that , will it be comin back, and if so, will it be always updatin itself thru the times its stopped (like now) ?

Um,

We always stated it was a beta TRIAL. This means it can come and go as we see fit. It does not affect you in anyway if you cannot view the stats apart from damaged egos

The reason:

the web frontend is crippling the system due to naff sql queries. Only BW staff can view it at present till I fix the queries.

* IT IS STILL logging all data from the servers

they are also attracting a lot of other people, the servers have never been so full

great work with the popular servers and the stats, brought loads back to barrys,

and a big hand to all the admins, doing a cracking job

Yeah, i agree, ever since i heard about the Stats, i have been CONSTANTLY going onto Barrysworld Servers, looking to up my score, i mean, i havent Killed myself on purpose or Killed hostages (On Purpose - lol)...

I felt it was a great challenge, and for anyone really into BW Servers its a great experience

Only one thing I have against these stats... people expect you to play to the best of your ability ALL the time

I like to go on with Buffy and muck about on the servers a lot

Heh, I was having a beretta and tmp map just now and some eejit was saying things like...

thats the thing, you can mess about when there is a bunch of peeps on the server that you know.
When your up against a bunch of strangers - you have to play it properly, no time for fooling unless your team knows its always gonna lose and then adopts some silly tactics. Like all T's hiding in the sniper tower on cbble - if the CT's are a bit serious in their gameplay (and dim) it can take a round or two for them to catch on

me personally do think the stats promote team play,

me and dolly have a little war going on at the moment

but now, i do not kill hostages, i dont throw the bomb away anymore,

i think the stats do promote team play, especially when the stats are so detailed, ie points for planting, defusing, rescuing etc

keep the stats the way they are, apart from adding Aug & Sig of the day

i agree, i'm talking about fooling as in having fun, or tyring weapons you don't usually use, not too serious games with friends etc.
I've never gone for the intentionally dropping the bomb or killing hostages as I don't see that as part of playing the game. If you spawn with the bomb then you keep it to the best of your ability, as for shooting hostages when on the T's side I think thats lame tactics plus I can hardly shoot players let alone those flickering gits

..unless its Vegas
