Anyone know what content is gunna be in the Darkness rising expansion?

We looking at a PvE thing here? RvR content what with it being Darkness falls?

Also are we gunna have2pay for this? i only ask cos didnt miffic say there was goin to be no fre expansion this year? (the champ levels will be part of a range of patches?)

Darkness Rising will be an expansion you gotta pay for, like Catacombs, ToA, SI. As far as is clear so far, it will be an PvE expansion - it only adds one new zone, where all the quests will take place.

Mythic's 'Free Expansion' for this year appears to be the new servertype.

On the other hand, this is more of a "Catacombs" expansion then a "TOA".
ie u DONT HAVE to do it all to stay compedetive in RvR, buts may help
in PvE etc..

it will be more like ToA than Catacombs but they're hoping not quite so big an effect as ToA had from what I've read.

It's a "new and strange ways to improve your existing char" expansion (ala ToA) not a "new places to create new chars" expansion (ala SI, Catacombs)

But hey if you nerf someone's damage by 5% they'll whine almost as much as if you nerf it by 20% (the effect will be different of course but the whining will be similar) so I'm sure that these new abilities will cause a roar of "omfg overpowered one-button instawin!" no matter how powerful.

On the other hand Mythic isnt really known for tweaking the class balance slightly.
They seem more prone to taking the nerfbat and beat the shit out of
some classes or using their "scepter of godmode" on other classes.

That fine gray zone where moderate changes are seems to be a
completely unknown area for them.

I would love to, but I have been unable to do that.

The thing is that I am supposed to get up two nice little pictures
with my chars and RR etc but for some reason it wont work on this forum.
(works really nice on the /as forum and our guild forum)

Maybe Flim or someone else with a bit more insight into this can help me find out?
