I bought parts for a new PC last weekend except for the ram. I mostly know what to get, but ram is not my strong point. So I thought I'd ask here ;)

What I'm wondering about, is what the major difference is between PC3200, 3700 and 4000. and are they all compatible with my mobo? (asus P4P).

Any help would be appreciated as I am supposed to get it tomorrow and I don't wanna pay 280€ for ram just to find out it doesn't run ;) (store doesn't give refunds, only vouchers u can use for another purchase :\)

p4p800 = ddr 400 so that's 3200

the difference is that they're basically different ram speeds so..

3200=400mhz
3700=466
4000=500
