Corporeal Disintergration

I just saved up, and got the sorcerer special realm ability - Corporeal Disintegration. As a slightly gimped sorcerer, I've never had the ability to do much damage, so that's why this spell is such a big deal to me.

I've read other peoples comments this RA, and it seems like you can run around for 2 weeks, looking for the right opportunity to use it. But, an opportunity came my way last night!

The word was spread that the hibs were attacking Excalibur Castle - we managed to sneak inside. I popped my head out the window above the main door and insta cast my new spell and this is what happened ...

Yep a body spec sorc who (compared to air spec theurgist) gets a better ae mezz, an equal nuke, life drain nuke (ROX when combined with 15 sec uninteruptable RA vs assasin/snipers), ae root, charm, amnesia, str/con debuff etc gets a decent RA.

Whereas the theurg who gets air pets, 10 sec pbt (useless in rvr cus mezz breaks it then when ur hit u get no bt at all, and major power drain), eb/haste (also pretty useless in rvr (nukes and mezz do most of the work in large battles) and weapon speed debuff gets Siegebolt (1500 dmg on lvl 1 door, 800 dmg and sometimes resists on high lvl doors ).

Theurg might be a bit easier to lvl up, but at low lvl most ppl dont know about bt at all, by the time they do ur in lyonesse at pygme's where a sorc is just as useful as a theurg cus of mezz, and for trees (where pbt is almost essential), well a sorc can solo pygmes and getter better exp and they can still nuke almost as well as a wizard and mezz so still a good chance to get in any group, just they cant go afk

Wish i'd made a sorc instead of a theurg, but im also looking forward to respeccing to 45 air and either 2 earth rest ice or 26 earth rest ice.

I actually respecced to get rid of that spell. Very nice when you can use it and the fact that it's an Instant is good.

However, it's FAR too situational for my liking - although great in a keep defense as Pazuzu said.

Also seems odd to me that they give an AoE mezz-breaking RA to a Sorceror! LOL

Anyway, I'll probably get it back in future but I'm really liking MCL right now

It is a damm nice realm ability and imo worth the points ,used mine several times normally after ive mezzed hibs/mids , then someones rooted over the top then someones aoe damaged em so all CC is useless till timers resets (and yes this does happen a lot still) then i throw in the aoe dot as may as well try damaging them in the general meelee that happens then.

yeh its good in keep defense and also used it against a stealther that got me , he killed me anyway but very pleasing to watch him run a away a bit then keel over dead

Also bear in mind that it stacks aswell so get 3 sorcs with it and you start doing 300dmg a tick to people with all 3 stacking which is really quite nasty damage if you co-ordinated firing it say when in a keep defense.
