NYC hit 25,000 deaths yesterday, a sad milestone. I was out and about last week, girlfriend wanted to see the Christmas lights on Fifth avenue, but we were an hour early, and there were so many people not wearing masks or socially distancing, that we decided to skip it and try to go this next weekend instead. The number of tourists surprised me. What are they all doing here, traveling during a pandemic?

I am not sure anyone cares about trying to work out the drivel you post even minutes after it's posted, I hardly think anyone would bother mulling it over for a week.

Tier 5 incoming?

an analysis of the spread of the new, highly transmissible coronavirus... which warned that even if the whole of England were placed under tier 4 restrictions on Boxing Day until the end of January, the R value would not fall below 1.

The study, yet to be peer-reviewed, also warned that without a substantial vaccine roll-out and tighter regulations the death toll of 2020 could be surpassed within the first six months of 2021.

Lots to consider if true.

Positive news about the second vaccine but it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

I'm staying in tbh.
I've just been brought my chainsaw trousers in anticipation of a few hours of fallen tree clearance work.

It's kinda like staying in, just with lots of added danger :)

You don't need to do it with Prime Now. Can usually get one same day or next day if really busy. Prices aren't that bad either.

Amazon Prime food isn't up to speed here just yet. It's all Morrisons which aren't that huge here.

Signed up to Asda in the end, who had slots longer into Jan.

Also, got 6 bottles of decent plonk and some other bits and bobs to see me through Jan and see where we are after that. Might do the odd midnight shop.

Doesn't it offer you a choice of 'Amazon' or 'Morrisons'?

not much difference for us though. Not been in any shops except food ones for months.

Well technically only for 7 days, surely if you write something about Sony he'll turn up ;)
