Yawn. Still banging on about a club we've left I see.

You'd think you'd be more interested in whether Athletico vs Liverpool was part of how coronavirus hit liverpool hard. But no. More interested in stuff that doesn't affect you.
I was incuding us in that...being part of Europe and all.
Yes the Athletico game was idiotic..but it sums up the mentality of football and the hive mind of the fans.

They came from a freakin covid hotspot ffs.
Liverpool would be well down on cases without that game.
The merseyrail ticket seller died last week of it at 55.
Probably exposed constantly.

The finer details are still TBC. Let's hope this is the beginning of the end of this garbage :(

Agreed, long way from anything near normal yet but just being able to go for a walk together really will be a relief. Looks like you might be able to go for a stroll on the beach too, opening soon I believe?

I'm waiting for the official state bulletin to be released. The one for the 13 and unders being allowed out was only just released today (Saturday). It's the only reliable source to be honest.

True, but so far Sanchez seems to be able to get his suggestions through so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I guess the media have been loading their cannon for at least 5 days for the 20k number.

why jump over 20k but not 19.5k or 18.6k

I guess it is because they were told that if CV19 had cost the UK under 20k deaths they were doing a good job. Fact is including deaths not in hospital c.6.3k plus (nyt only goes to 10th Apr) it is has been over that figure for quite sometime.

It will eventually kill all it can, we are only flattening the curve, all evidence, especially from cruise ships is that fatility rate is 0.1 to 0.3%.
Worldwide deaths are half the seasonal flu so far.

I'll call it again...its statistically no worse than a virulent flu....seasonal flu killed 91 UK toddlers in 2017.
Covids only killed a handful.

The big problem is as I mentioned and recieved the racist screams, is it is affecting black and asians terribly, quite often double the amount.
Obviously everyones too scared to theorise to find a solution...so they'll have to keep dying.

That and it's a nice big round number. They've mentioned 20k deaths as a measure of whether or not they've done a good job a couple of times and like you say, that's just hospitals.

No you're just plain wrong I'm afraid. As soon as that sinks into your head the better.

Which bit?
The whole thrust of your argument. But since it's been explained to you multiple times and you still can't see the obvious why bother again?

I disagree with bans for simply being thick btw, but you do seem to love trolling because I can't believe (unless you'll admit to having a sub-normal IQ) that you are actually that thick.

No one has 'explained' it.
The fatility levels are dropping from ridiculous guessing to more flu like levels as the data comes in.
You cant just shout 'thicko'.

BAME deaths are a serious concern, they should recieve more protection until we work out why.

2500 ish daily deaths for a population of 330m, not bad at all compared to most of Europe.

Which is 0.00075% daily by the way.

@Job by your logic so should men then. All of the UK population has been asked to stay home and follow the rules. If they do that and only mix with their household then they should be protected, just like chaps in the uk.

On top of that https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2020/04/24/strokes-coronavirus-young-patients/ - this seems to describe younger people fighting of the pneumonia only to have a stroke.
Well yes, though its not clear why more men die either.

And yes there us some evidence of the virus causing strokes in young people...but its a tiny amount, even though its a 7 fold increase

Should we get @Deebs to check if the ignore function is malfunctioning?

If Trump had addressed America and announced a disease was going to kill 0.001% of the country each day for a few months....almost entirely the sick and old and he was going to lock down the country..destroy the economy, close all non essential shops and business and put 6m people out of a job to try and get it down to 0.00075.

Youd be right to claim he had lost his fucking mind.
But its happening right now.

Just checking the forums are working. Good to know they're fine and that you're just choosing to engage with @Job of your own volition. Good luck with that.

Meanwhile self employed people will have to wait till June for a 'possible' payout.
The problem is if course the people handing out the money have all got cushy jobs for life working for the government, so the group motivation or awareness is zero of people in the real world who actually make the money to pay their wages.
So they are casually sitting on piles of money while failing to support the millions who are by far the most important.
They should put a self employed gardener from Clapton in charge.
