No, Core i7 is available as an option - but only on the 11 inch 128GB and the 13 inch 256GB. The lowest 11 and 13 inch doesn't give you an option to change CPU.

why pay so much for 13 inch?!?! don't understand my self. I know some people prefer mac OS for some reason, but prices are crazy for what hardware you get.

It's rather shite, but if you're running a NAS raid setup which stores all your music, videos and photos then the need for a large disk is mitigated.

That's not exactly cheap either.

Let's say £349.00 for the SSD so that leaves us with £1,000.00. It hasnt even got the best CPU, uses the build in gfx and has just 4GB of mem. I would have thought the Apple experiance would have left some room in the budget for another disk.
