I wouldn't say that EQ sucks (their PvP servers are, fx, much better than the ones in DAoC) but it has it's problems. The customer service is crap and the high end gear is just ridiculous (a mage with high end planar gear can outdamage a same level normal geared warrior in melee). But it certainly doesn't suck.

But calling it utter bullshit is, well... utter bullshit.

And you can always trust in the general consensus...

Why the hell would I play it unless I had a reason to? DAoC at least has some basis on mythology, and feels vaguely historic in places. The fantasy is a lot more believable than "catmen" - I've never seen anything, either reviews, player comments or screenshots to convince me to play EQ...

Never heard about fantasy? Most fantasy role playing games have beast-races. Nothing new. And if your knowledge was up to date you'd know EQ features lizard- and frogmen too.

lol? are u serious? u have NO WHAT SO EVER experience about that game and STILL u dare to say it sux?? and FYI. id take a PURE fantasy game over a game with 10% mythology and 90% pure bullshit (as DAoC is atm, 90% of the "story" in this game is pure and utter nonsense and have nothing to do with the "real" mythology) atleast EQ doesent pretend to be something its not...
