I haven't bothered with the link, but is it anything like 419eater.com? That place cracks me up.

Can I jump to conclusions and presume that /sa/ means Something Awful?
Notice how they all kinda work together, and try and work out who the guy is?
Some guy came down to London all the way from Wales to help record what would happen when the parcel was delivered.
Was there an actual outcome in the end?
Last I heard was the parcel got stopped in customs.

They rock.

answer to clowns spoiler question (spoilered so people can still enjoy the read :))
the parcel got through custom and was actually delivered (allthough no one knows (yet?) how the guy has reacted though

Find the original thread on the DAOC off topic (lol, posted by Job, afaik)

There's a link to their forum, which has a link to metafile.com, or meta something or other, which has the final conclusion on it (page 69 in their thread, but don't hold me to that)

all very anti climax though

At the moment, the guy has paid money to collect the package, in the form of an inflated tax bill because the laptop (hehe) was overvalued. So basically, the seller has spent some money delivering it (perhaps 50 quid or so), and the seller has paid taxes based on a value of 2000 dollars. Thats probably not much change from 300 quid :D

There is a link on metafilter to another guy who had some fun with one of those guys pulling the scam of having millions of dollars and needing you to secure it.
It's a bit of an anti-climax again but has some funny bits, probably a glen but I've never seen it before.
