Console commands, advice please

Please could somebody tell me how to increase my frames per second in C.S 1.3 and also how to view what the current setting is! Or a good web site which shows how to use the consloe in game.

the one at http://halflife.pc-game.com is the biggest and best, if maybe a tad outdated.


but for unusual commands that may help you with a dodgy gfx card, or for changing console settings ect, it's win.
