Console advice - anime

daughters fifteenth birthday in a couple of weeks and she's after a console.

Her big thing at the moment is anime however, she's well into Bleach, Fruit Basket, One Piece etc. so which console out there is the best one for games of this genre?

I've had a look myself but still can't really decide so wondered what everyone else thought.

Erm, I know it's not exactly what you were after, but Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli (the genius behind Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo etc) have co-developed a game called Ni no Kuni.

Anime comes from Japan, the PS3 comes from Japan. The xbox isn't too big in Japan, so the anime titles pretty much all end up on PS3 and/or PC

I'd say get Shadow of the Colossus and Ico HD on ps3 as well, same japanese dev, both very awesome games.

There is a HD version of SOTC+Ico for ps3 on 1 disc, yes.

cio and sotc are freebies with psn this month, the stunning studio ghibli game is a must ni no kuni is is awesome, if you got a backwards compatible ps3 then ghiblis previous game on the ps2 magic pengel is worth a punt. and perhaps kingdom hearts as well

Went for a Wii (snigger) in the end as someone we knew was selling one. She's quite happy now playing Zelda, some game called pandoras heart I picked up for her and a couple of other similar styled games

Did look at the ghibli game and it looks soooo nice, but just couldn't see that much aimed at 15 year old girls that was decent other than a few titles.

Sounds good, Zelda will keep her busy for awhile tis a game you can sink many an hour into.
