connection problem

connecting to login server, please wait
trying another login server. please wait ,finally getting
login server not responding , please wait a few minutes and try again later

what is wrong with my connection?, this happened after a router reboot !

is there certain ports i have to open so that i can "see" or can be "seen" by the login server and the game server, and which ones are they ?

every other thing works normal, iexplore, firefox, msn, irc, other online games too, wtf?!

i doubt the firewall issue, considering i deactivated it and the game wouldn't work as well

also, if i might add, i played normally with 1,85 and the "new" changes, however after router reboot, all hell broke loose, resulting me not able to login at all whatsoever

From your description it would sound like your router reset is the source of your problem, presumably its not alowing though the correct ports or turned of uPnP or something.

Its clearly a router issue. If uncertain. Reset your firewall rules and reset router to factory settings and reconfigure both of them.

thanks for the replies, im gonna try one of the ways proposed

would it be too much to ask which ports does daoc use, if any1 knows ?

im patching ok, only thing i cant connect to is the login server !

ok, problem solved, apparently router reboot, had blacklisted few ports that shouldnt be blacklisted, i opened them ,and now everything works great, thanks for the replies again !
