I bought the Xbox360 premium system with the component hd cable.

Is there a way of putting the audio through the Creative X-Fi (Elite pro) console?

I have put the red and white speaker connectors into the Auxillary input at the rear of the X-Fi breakout console but cant get any sound. maybe its a software thing.

Or Im stupid.

This happened with me dude with the VGA cable its fucking retarded and it seems it happens with everyone..

If you want sound either get a 3.5mm jack that you plug both red/white leads into then you plug that into your speakers/tv

Or do what i did and move your stereo and you can plug the cables into that and get sound no problem.. i don't understand what the problem is with the audio cables.. they wouldn't work on my pc speakers or my LCD tv.

Whereas mine work fine... Check your 360 settings, is there an option to enable analougue/digital sound output?

Check your soundcard software settings, do you have to enable the input?

Of course what you should all do is use an optical cable and get lovely digital surround :)

On that note, link us to this tv you purchased. You said it was only £200? My mum needs something we can wall mount in the kitchen.

Well it's £400 but £200 for me as i had a credit note. I'll have a look.. it was one of them weekend deal thingies they have going had to go all the way to Nottingham to get one as they were the only one near me that had stock in.. :)

Also got badgered for the usual cover shit i said no.. then the sales guy said ''so if i chuck this on the trolly now and it breaks you don't have a leg to stand on'' well steam was coming out of my ears so i demanded to see the manager and proceeded to shout at him what disgusting customer service this is.

I then demanded a new TV as this one could be broke seeing as he chucked it on the trolly and they gave me a £50 credit note free.

it was much simpler than I thought but given Creatives lack of info its no surprise I had problems. I put the audio out into the auxilliary inputs. What I had to do was to right click on any of the midi, etc volume labels and select the right input. No instructions made this less than obvious. I now have sound.
