Ok so my mate has every ep of Mythbusters on his computer and I want it. The problem? Even using 7zip the smallest he can get the file size is 23Gb. Iv'e got a spare PATA HDD but since I'm using a PC and he's got a Mac there lies a problem. So how do you go about connecting a PC formatted HDD to a Mac?

Ta.

This wouldn't be a problem if his Seedbox was bigger =(

As Zenith said, FAT32 will "just work". There are good NTFS drivers for *nix and therefore Macs so even then you can read them. It's the PATA bit that's the biggest problem.

Use 7zip to store the file and chunk it into whatever size USB key you have laying around, then just do it in a couple of trips. 16gb usb (Kingston G3) cost me about £10 the other day.
